A Soapbox Opera - Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) Writer and Composer
Музыка
Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, is the singer/songwriter of this most beautiful treasure, A Soapbox Opera, which is from the album, Crisis? What Crisis? Seeing Roger perform with an orchestra is mesmerizing. This performance is from a July 2013 concert in Germany with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra at Jazzopen Schlossplatz. Roger also gave us the eternal classics such as Dreamer, Give a Little Bit, Take the Long Way Home, The Logical Song, Fool's Overture, Hide in Your Shell, It's Raining Again and many more.
Although Roger and Supertramp's other co-founder shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own songs. Roger is the Voice you have been listening to on almost all the classic hit songs that were recorded by Supertramp - the Voice people all over the world love.
Roger is touring worldwide and audiences are once again experiencing the magic and spirit that Roger Hodgson created with Supertramp. In addition to performing the classics listed above plus many others, he also performs magnificent material from his solo albums. Seeing Roger live in concert is an experience that will stay with you a lifetime. www.RogerHodgson.com / rogerhodgson .

"Roger's voice is even better than it was when he was with Supertramp. My friends and I were blown away by the sheer talent Roger has. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Roger live if they can." Daniel Knighton, Examiner

J'adore.

How I would like my loved ones to put this song on at my funeral...
Arte.
A genre of music that was only practiced for a few years, but is immortal in its glory.

La meilleure chanson de Roger qui nous a donné du bonheur et qui continue à nous réjouir chaque fois que nous l'écoutons, chapeau Roger pour ce cadeau inoubliable.
I've been hearing this tune for the past 33 years. And I'm still hearing it. The best piece written.
Lyrics: I hear, only what I want to hear, But, I have to believe in something, Have to believe in just one thing. I said father Washington, you're all mixed up, Collecting sinners in an old tin cup. Well, spare a listen for a restless fool, There's something missing when I need your rule. Well, hey there; You tell me you're a holy man, but, although I am just a beginner, I don't see you as a winner. I said, sister Washington, you're all washed up, Collecting teardrops in a paper cup; If I could tell you what you need to know; If I could tell you to get on with the show. I'd rather never leave her, There's a storm in my head, Makes me hear what you say; Just was it true? So, what have I to do? Well, what has he to do?- Ooh, what is there to-oo do+ What oh-oh-ohoh "All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, the lord god made them all" Mary, oh tell me what I'm living for, Cause I feel like I'm tossed in the river, Oh' have you a son to deliver. I said, father Washington, you're all mixed up, Collecting sinners in an old tin cup, You tell the children what you need to know, But, will they listen when it's time to go. Oh, sister Robinson, you're all washed up, Collecting teardrops in a paper cup, Can someone tell me what I need to know, Can someone help me to get on with the show

At age 11 my older brother took me to my first concert: to see what would become my favorite band of all time.🤩 I could play every single Supertramp song by age 13... every part, and knew every word. I somehow thought one day I would be part of the band. Sigh. A girl could dream.
