A Short Ride In The Duel Truck

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

1960 Peterbilt 281, Burbank California January, 2005.
This is the 1960 Peterbilt 281 that is known as the "Surviving Duel Truck." This truck has appeared in multiple places, the 1994 music video for David Lee Roth's song "She's My Machine," the 1994 movie "New Nightmare," a commercial for the Chevrolet Malibu, and the 2004 movie "Torque." It has also appeared in a Motor Trend magazine, as well as Ten Four Magazine. While this truck is known as the surviving Duel truck there is currently no documentation to link this truck to the production of the movie.

One time I bought an old rat Ford tanker straight truck, Brought batteries and popped it off. A bird nest flew out like that! It was Spring and there were baby birds on the ground after that! Another time, I was driving a GMC tandem dump truck that I hadn't used in a while. On an asphalt job at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. There was a hornet nest under there somewhere and apparently when I left, the bees stayed on it. Got to the jobsite, and they started harassing the workers there! They blamed it on me, since they could see them around the truck body!

Ummm, your lying my guy, you will be 23 if you were born in 1999 but in the 70s you will be in your 50s or late 40s.

@@Chevyguy2010 Ummm yeah, I guess reading comprehension wasn’t your forte, was it? He never said he’s 23 years old - he said he’s been driving truck 23 years. Bit of a difference.

Peterbilt will always be the best truck out there. I always see the 70s and 80s ones here in WI, they are either painted neon green or sky blue and the guys who drive them are proud to show off what they got, I would be too.

When I was a little kid, trucks and trailers like that were common. They were painted nice with Esso and Standard logos, didn't think anything about them.
