There's achievements and a decent amount of side content, so you'll get more than an hour and a half out of it. You don't have to go straight up to the mountain peak from what I can tell, and there are other paths to follow.

There's definitely more going on on-screen than what the DS could handle. It's an idealized version of the DS, the way those of us who grew up in the 2000s remember it through the lens of nostalgia. It's kind of like how Shovel Knight was an idealized version of NES graphics

George S How much time have you sunk into this game?

Greatest $8 I ever spent. 100% in about 4 or 5 hours but the real treat is the music, the characters, and the feel good vibe of it all. My mom passed away a few months ago so the ending made me tear a bit but, like the game tries to convey, life goes on and it can be a beautiful ride.

This is an incredible game that everyone should play. It’s only about 5 hours of gameplay but it has an impact on me months after I played it. I am going to buy it again just to experience it on the Switch. 10/10, one of my favorite games of all time.

This game is one of those that leaves your heart feeling warm and fuzzy

It's really short, but it's AMAZING, a real hidden gem. I played It on PC. I am glad to see it launching on other plataforms, it definitely deserves more recognition.

One of the best games i played this year so far. Tears of happiness the entire time!

I lost my mother June 3rd- this game made me bawl my eyes out but smile as well. Beautiful.... just beautiful.

I have almost 8 hours in it. The game can be 1 hour if you want it to be, but it can be even 10. It depends on the player. The exploration and flying is so joyfull in this game. I was playing it on PC during quarantine and it felt like going outside. 100% worth it!

This game is just magical, I can't even express what it is. The dynamic music, the freedom, the laid back nature, it's so good. Literally no enemies to fight, no health bar, just collectables and missions

Have this on PC and just bought it for Switch, honestly the most wholesome game I've ever played

I bought this game as soon as I seen it was on the eshop. For some reason it stood out to me and it’s a pretty good game so far!

I downloaded it on a platform for free some months ago. The experience was so fullfilling, the music so incredibly beautiful that i had to buy it after the sale was over. Just to support the creators. Please people, buy this. You wont regret it!

FINALLY. Its easily the most switch game ever, absolutely gorgeous. Such a little gem and im not even into indie games that much. I have bought it twice know AND ill buy it again on switch to support the dev. He deserves it, wish we got DLC or a squeal....

This game looks like something I can shut down to and play, it looks so gorgeous and the music sounds so calming

FYI you can change the graphics to a higher resolution,this does not effect framerate at all. Still stays at a consisting 60 fps

Could'nt pay for it cause I have no money , but made one of the biggest impact on my life in such a short time, this game is one of the first things I'm buying after I earn for myself.

I read some interviews. This is one guy who knew his threshold. Even though he could’ve done more, his health (and probably financial situation) was more important than that. Maybe with the success of this game, we could get a sequel or another project. I’m excited to see what comes next.

Instantly bought this. As others have said, it immediately reminded me of old school 3D DS graphics, so this is super cool to me as someone who grew up playing a DS. Also love the color palette and premise. Edit: Been playing it for awhile now and, gotta say, it's been an absolute joy. There's surprisingly a lot to explore in this game, and it's so much fun to do. Would highly recommend it :) Edit 2: Just finished 100%'ing it. What a great game, man. Again, highly recommend it. Would love to see more of this in some form, too.

Misty 31 :D I’d say I got around 6ish hours out of it? The switch won’t tell me yet lol. But I think most people would get somewhere around 4 hours out of it, maybe even less depending on whether you’re really bent on exploring. There’s a lot to explore and find, though. And either way I’d say it’s worth the price for the experience itself.

I am daunted by the 30 Points Beachstickball Challenge and 1st Place in Three Parkour Races challenge. I lack these two achievements to 100% complete the game.

Just started playing this and it makes me feel super nostalgic for some reason but I love it!

i played this on pc and did for hours just running around after completing because it was so relaxing and fun. A gem!

Best game to play while quarantine

To anyone wondering if they should get this, I just wanna say that this game was an absolute joy to play. The low resolution is an optional setting that can be adjusted as you see fit, the story is charming and sentimental towards the end of the game, every character feels unique and full of personality, and overall, the exploration is really engaging and rewarding.

Played it on the PC and it's just wonderful ! Great choice for an adaption to the switch.

This game is short but wonderfully made with care. I played it and after a while I was delighted by this lil' indie game. It's just so peaceful without any conflict. Some say it's all about reaching the end goal. But it's all about the fun little things along the way that make taking your time that much enjoyable. This game made me recall memories with my family going up to the woods to hike. No electronics and just being one with nature.

So this game is really easy and rather short, but I felt a kind of joy that I hadn't for a long time and almost cried at the end. There's definitely more stuff to do besides the story tho, like fishing, several riddle treasure maps, exploring the whole island by flight or motorboat, finding lost items for other hikers... It's sort of like budget Animal Crossing I guess? And the characters have such great personalities! ...except Gary the scalping college student!!!!!! That miserable pile of feathers said "smell ya later" to me!!! OOOORRRGHHHH

Thank you Adam for bringing this to the Switch. It was an absolute delight, one of my favourite gaming experiences ever and I'm gladly going to buy it a second time.

I'm really enjoying this game it's so charming and chill it also has some great music as well the sound design is on point to the writing is also well done I've chuckled plenty of times during some of the conversations in the game. One word to describe a short hike is positive vibes.

For anyone even slightly interested in buying this - do! I went in completely blind and this isn't even my usual type of game but it was so good. Chilled, responsive, with satisfying controls, funny, delightful, unique. A true fulfilling experience. My only complaint is that it lives up to its name. It really is a short hike. You'll breeze through this and want more. I dont even want to delete it even though I'm done.. You won't regret it

I just finished this and truly enjoyed it so much, much more than I expected. I really didn't want this game to end. It's so charming and fun; the characters were amazing and lovable. Highly recommend for relaxation and needing something light and sweet. If you have issues with the graphics, there's an option to set down the harsh pixels to your liking. Amazing game; I just wish it was longer but can't complain since the whole ride was fulfilling from start to finish.
