A Sharps, a Scheutzen, and a Jaeger

Evan provides a preview of the fantastic firearms in a recent donation to the Museum: a Sharps Carbine, a Schuetzen, a Jaeger, and a Pinfire shotgun.

    @@wsmvolunteers8588 Surely, they must of taken in consideration your love of history and the knowledge of firearms, Also your getting free lessons on edge weapons, moccasins, and a lot of other tid bits the museum owns. Really enjoy you videos, hopefully people will keep donating items for you to study,review and enlighten the museum and Evan followers!

    Those are some of best ones. I didn't show an engraved revolver or the Greener shotgun that are awaiting future videos.

    Beautiful guns. I look forward to seeing more from this collection. Today one of the plumbers on my job site found a side by side hammer shotgun with Damascus barrels in a brain tan buckskin sleeve under the insulation in the attic of a small lake house that was built in the 1920s. The lock plate is stamped "the leader Belgium ". Not a spot of rust on it. It made for quite the bit of excitement on the site as most of the fellas on the site are at least interested in firearms if not full on gun nuts. Fun to uncover a bit of history.

    Belgium was a center of firearms innovation and manufacturing in the 19th century. Many of those guns ended up in the United States and were put to good use.
