A sail around the Isle of Bute, Scotland [Ep 19]
Спорт
One of my best days sailing yet, a single-handed day sail around Bute, Scotland. Perfect conditions for October, beautiful autumn light and perfect wind for a quick sail around Bute before storm Babet arrives...
thanks for watching 😊

Great vid, brings back memories. I did my dayskipper around there 2 years ago to the day in the same tasty winds. Amazing time.

I'm sitting in the monsoon in Aberdeenshire while my 342 is tied up in Inverkip. Smashing film, and that drone footage as you went round south of Bute with Arran in the background, was just lovely. The Kyles are really magical, so scenic, but often a challenge as the wind behaves in all sorts of strange ways round the loop. Great to see someone enjoying a day out sailing in Scotland in October, and appreciating the majesty of it all 👍 Thanks pal, cheered me up no end.

Love that part of Scotland and thanks for sharing your travel so I could see what I missed when I was sailing there. The whole sail although as exciting was in horizontal rain and mist covered mountains 😩😩😩 you were extremely lucky. On that day with wind and weather. Thank you

@@PhilipBendeich Hi Philip, unfortunately I won't be in largs then.
Really enjoy the videos, hoping to get a Hanse 338 in the spring just wondering what is the size of your tender? because it looks a good fit on the deck. Thanks

I really enjoy your channel and I'm hoping to venture up your way someday. I'm new to sailing and only really been in and around the Solway Firth so far but it strikes me that it must be the choppiest sea ever because the water looks so calm in your videos. I can only dream of being able to walk to the bow, most times I have to crawl. Is it really quite a calm sea area in the Clyde or does it only look that way on camera?

thanks Richard, the Clyde is generally quite sheltered and you can sail in there when you wouldn't off the west coast. Of course in really bad weather it can also get quite rough in the Clyde. thanks for watching.
