Jordan 1 black toes are my favorites Jordan's next to the Concord 11's. I have the 2013 black toes deadstock and I wear my 2016 ones all the time. The softer leather does make a difference in wearability especially if you wear them all day. Great video and review!👍

Yo Mo did the OGs in 1985 have black tongue? Ive seen some pics where they didnt but maybe Mike had a PE that did. I cant find a definitive answer anywhere. Always love your reviews man. Congrats on the TR 23s btw

+Julian Mosley thanks man. As far as I know, MJ was the only one wearing the black tongues. All other retail pairs have had the white tongue unless it was customized (which I have seen someone do before. Check my previous video on my thoughts on the 2016 Black Toe 1s.

Amazing how many small but many differences there are. Really wished for a black tongue on the '16 but what you gonna do.

Yeah, JWDanklefs is currently doing a custom black tongue Jordan 1 Black Toe PE for me, which will feature the "Nike" Tongue Tag. I'll keep you posted.

Not into the Top 3. The 3 colorways in that shoe can hold a candle on their own it didn't need to be mish mashed into a single pair. I'll be passing.

i bought the 2016s because in the back of mind i though the 2013s had a red-orangish "nike air" or jumpman on top of the tongue. pulled it out and was surprised.. i was like, "what the hell? i've bought the same shoes again??" then i note the small differences as noted in this vid except the toe box shape. i could of saved some money but screw it.. i'll go ahead and wear the 2013s, plus its my bd today, might as well.

I am curious about them but the 31 and the 11 will take priority. There are a couple shoes like the Oxidized Green 14 and these 9s I have OGs of that I didn't do a comparison for because of price or just wasn't interested. I may down the line get them but we'll see.

i think the 2016 fit bigger than the 2013

Well, the 2013 says "high" on the box and in comparison to the 2016 it's about a half inch shorter. In fact, the 2016 is the tallest among all the other iterations. Even the OG from 1985. If you compare the 2016 to everything else, it makes the others look like mids. Even the retro 85 High OGs are shorter than the 2016. Check out my other videos on the AJ 1. I use a ruller in one.

I had 2013 pair but sold them. The shape and stiffness of the leather to me was pretty bad. My opinion, but to me none of the 2013 1s can even compare to the remastered series.

Remastered pairs have been improving. They're stepping in the right direction. Price could be lower on everything across the board though. Hopefully that improves.

+Omar najeeb exactly. There was definitely a shorter windows to a known release date there. Couldn't use rewards on a quickstrike release. Could've saved another $15.
