An incredible moment unfolded in the Waterberg mountains as we followed up on a report of a female leopard successfully bringing down an impala and hoisting it into a camel thorn tree right next to the road. We headed out earlier than usual, and with luck on our side, we managed to relocate her. We arrived just in time as she decided to move her quarry, descending the tree into the thickets.
Marataba has produced some incredible leopard sightings in recent years and continues to improve with each passing year.
