Girl I am here searching these keywords because I'm just as confounded as you. I'm 34 years old and this shit has never made sense and will never make sense. Don't even get me started when it comes to the different elasticity and materials. Is it 34 in when fully stretched, or 34 in without being stretched at all? And then we also have alternate sizes to go by. Like why is a size 4 in jeans too big for me *unless* it's a pair of pants that also has the inches listed, in which case it will say 27 in/size 4. What I have another pair of pants that says it's a size 2 and it's way too big, but the size 4 that I have are super super snug? What you're dealing with though, she's that's the exact same brand, that's the exact same pants! This is gaslighting to an extreme level I swear. I hope you had fantastic trip by the way.

Thank you for sharing your experience!! The trip was amazing, I never ended up finding a pair of well-fitting snow pants, but luckily wearing tights and wool socks under my trousers kept me warm enough and I didn't end up needing them. But you're absolutely right. It is gaslighting, and clothing sizes are BS.

By the way, you're not really really huge. You look totally freaking normal. Don't let them convince you otherwise.

Thank you, I appreciate you 😅 Honestly, my hips are huge and I know that and I love that. I just wish literally ANYONE was making pants for me and my huge hips and other pear-shaped women, because I'm sick of every pair of pants pressing on my stomach because my booty takes up all the fabric lol
