This, is the most patriotic movie I watched. Not the ones which sing praises of our country. Patriotism means loving our country, but not blindly. This movie showed us reality. It showed our country through the eyes of innocence. A true patriot would constantly want to improve their country, by understanding it's shortcomings. This movie was far ahead of its times.

Exactly. This movie shows a clear difference between Patriotism and Nationalism. The former is what we need, respecting and admiring our culture, and make sure it stays respected, even if it meant questioning the authorities so that your people can live with peace. Nationalism is simply blind devotion to the country. A nationalist believes every decision made is good, and no one should be allowed to question it. A patriot is never narrow minded.

Siddharth (Karan Singhania) sits in protests like these .. when there were massive floods in Chennai his house , three studios and much more were all flown away but he didn't stop helping the people! 🤔 stop protesting against cab nothing wrong in it

Saw this movie 3 times in cinema in 2005. 2'nd and 3rd times were housefulls. When this scene came every single person in cinema was shivering with rage n tears in his eyes. And when they shoot defence minister as revenge , that was the loudest roar I have ever heard in Cinema till date ! The experinece was unforgetable !

Rang De Basanti is synonym of perfection. Casting, writing, music, direction...Everything is just...wow!!

Really way ahead of its time. If it were released today, it would either be banned or boycotted by fringe elements

This movie was released 14 years ago. Still relevant today. Is there any improvement in our political governance since the last 14 years?... My answer is No. Would love to hear yours, bros and sis?

There is difference, if they make this movie now the movie won't see the white screen of cinema hall, and yes all the actors, director were being trolled like anything in social media.

Remembered this as the wrestlers protesting a rapist are dragged off jantar mantar, to ensure the new parliament inauguration goes smoothly. Like Pandey here, many of these protesters too supported the govt against previous protests like CAA etc. We all need to realise that if you support oppression of dissent, you won't be able to dissent when you are oppressed. We need to be united against any tyranny by the rulers.

Young indians come together against all kind of oppression and revolt

This songs gives me goosebumps every time I hear it

Atul Kulkarni played the role of a bhakt who later awakens from his andhbhakti.

If only bhakts had the common sense and humanity of Atul Kulkarni's character in real life when farmers were gassed, lathi charged, injured and killed by the police under govt's orders.

Is the tragedy of kashmiri pandits just a tool for you to justify violence against protestors? Under Modi govt we have lost many soldiers through attacks like Pulwama which was later used by BJP to garner votes!
