That cat is the villain of the human story

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, as I'm a fan of both Lupita and Joe. It's interesting to base a prequel around "Quiet Place", focused on other survivors of the invasion who aren't the Abbotts.

@@youdneverguess ok good lol, the reason i didn't like it was they acted lie they was going to explain the aliens some, remember the part where the guy follows the cat up on the beam and the alien shows up and starts touching the fuzzy egg looking thing, then called the rest and they started eating it. what was that? lol and as for the characters it didn't flesh them at alt all, she had cancer and her dad played piano, that was it, the other guy was from another country didn't want to die and was in law school. Plus what a waste of Djimon Hounsou lol, i know why he was there but you could have gave him a little more screen time lol, First 2 were better because it explained the characters way better, especially the deaf girl. it just felt rushed and thrown together.

Another film about New York getting attacked? I rate this 9 out of 11.

The alien invasion themes have been going strong for a while now. Seems like project bluebeam is going to go into full effect. Just look at all the 9/11 imagery in 90's cartoons, years before the event.

I got to see a preview screening of this late last year and really enjoyed it. Nyongo and Quinn are both really good, the movie would suffer greatly without them. The NYC setting is really cool, it's a big loud place

So if the movies two main characters didn’t exist the movie would suffer…yeah because there’d be no one in the film????

Watched the movie today, in the UK. If you want a movie like the first two movies (with a different setting/characters + more extras for the aliens to kill) this movie will do the job. It continues to be character driven, there is not much focus on the government/military response or on developing the aliens story. I felt the aliens weren't quite as formidable or scary as before, but did show more intelligence besides their super hearing. The biggest difference compared to the first two movies (besides the setting) is that this movie is not about a family.

My friends cats don't jump at loud noises, well some. I think it's cute. I've not seen any of these films but might check this out when available on physical media 😊👍💜🐾👋

Does this movie use the same theme music or soundtrack as the first two?

The most unrealistic thing in the first film is all the sand trails everywhere. Also: why didn’t they live by the waterfall?

I LITERALLY WISH we got to see the military have more scenes in this movie. It should’ve incorporated the fighting on the ground, honestly I gave it 5 stars though, and loved it regardless, I just wish we saw what was shown on the news papers in the first quiet place movie. the M1A1 Abrams failing to kill the creatures , our bullets , everything wasn’t working. I wish we saw the other methods of the military besides their rescuing and evacuation of all citizens

That was an intense & fun movie theater experience… keep making these & I’ll keep watching them on opening night

Writers were unrealistic. People don't panic and then repeatedly scream: "we're all gonna die!" when our secondary character had to cover his mouth. Or when she was under a car and a mab grabbed her leg... and begged for help. What?! Unrealistic and out of touch with how strangers interact. Haha and the machine turning on loudly.. so the male nurse goes and turns it off and then... his shirt rips. Those writers, man

Hello @turtlesnail9824, Thank you for your reply. You are actually wrong. "A Quiet Place Part 2" was released in 2020. Emily Blunt was in "A Quiet Place" which was released 2018. This film should have been about her (EB) on Day one for her as the invasion was worldwide at the point of impact. Just come back from seeing the movie. I was bored. Same ol' Same Ol'.

It did add something new. The aliens have a giant hive where they eat. Maybe they eat their own eggs for food (the pods that were cracked open) And also, it showed us that there are big Bois who order the others around, maybe like a queen or something. Wonder if killing their queen does something

You enjoyed it? Your credibility is destroyed. I saw this pathetic disaster last night and felt quickly compelled to put up a well-earned 1 star IMDB review with a title that sums it up: Terminally ill woman and cat seek pizza... during an alien invasion. Seriously, that's the movie. There's a reason Paramount kept it very under wraps, because it's awful! Don't let the planted reviews out there done by those involved in the movie attempting to salvage the inevitably poor reputation that's sure to come to the surface fool you. It's the same with company review boards out there, which I know firsthand have HR planted reviews, often very samey sounding, to attempt to raise the rating and hide the true public opinion. Movie reviews have followed suit, and the best way to get an authentic opinion is sort by lowest review score and work your way through. This film is barely related to the previous two, and it's so bad that anyone involved should be horribly embarrassed.

Like they can be quiet.

For those seeking to go and see this movie. I tell you DON"T. It's an utter waste of your time and money. Cinema's are way too expensive nowadays for them to even allow this quality of movie to be played in Imax. A Quiet place 1 remains the best and 2. With three they just F- it. There is hardly a story, and what you see is so thin. Some people started napping in the cinema. There was absolutely no great pace and progresson in the story. The story started FLAT and remained FLAT... When everyone got out of the cinemy they we're all dissapointed and upset. This was a beloved franchise to many. And they wasted a gold mind with actor Djimon Hounsou. He barely was seen through the movie. What an epic fail of not using him more. I score Day One : a solid 1

I completely disagree. I agree that Cinemas are too expensive. Mainly because the theatres rely on food and drink sales to make money, as they don't see ANY ticket shares until a few weeks into the movie. And by then, most films have made 80-90% of their box office. Studios should give a bigger share earlier, to encourage lower ticket and food prices....but hey...on the film. I thought it was the perfect balance of action and character study. The leads and the cat were great. I really enjoyed it. I know movies are subjective, but I don't agree this a waste of time. The question of money though is down to the individual.

Way better than 2.
