This is pretty fucking simple. The one from the first movie was in a flooded basement so it was literally just walking on the floor. This one is in deeper waters.

Yes, I think the creature was crawling in the first movie. Although it gave off the impression to me that it was a possible water dweller, I was just totally expecting it to swim in the sequel.

@@resben100 could be? We don’t know….there a boats in the water so it’s gotta be deeper than 15 feet…. MOST basements DONT have ceilings higher than 15-25 feet and the basement had maybe 3 or 4 feet of water🤷🏻‍♂️ that could be a lake or river which can be as deep as it wants to be and also it’s a boat dock for your boat, where you park your boat to get on and off of your boat😂

it was never swimming, it knew it was shallow water and simply walked in and out of it

There has to be a benefit to being underwater for them, though, right? Maybe the water splashing in the basement made it harder for it to hear anything else, so going under helped the alien to hear better?

Roanoke Gaming actually answered this before. So basically in the meteor that the aliens came down on, it was just a bunch of caves and crevices inside of it but since they're familiar with water, it is speculated that there were just like some puddles in the caves that there are on earth aswell. So basically my they're familiar enough with water to be around and go into it but not enough to actually swim. This also explains why the creatures don't use eyes and only echolocation because caves don't emit any light, especially when hurdling through the void of space for year upon years.

EXACTLY. she used the power of compassion for a young person in despair, and jumped him with a ring of bells. alot of people would fall for it. it was a trick, and felt totally real. the OP doesn't seem to get it. lol

Simple. The creature did not swim in the basement. It’s obvious when you consider that the woman was standing in the same water and wasn’t swimming. So the creature…simply….walked across the floor. Or slunk given that it stayed submerged. And it’s logical that they cannot swim given that their skin is dense enough to stop kinetic rounds from piercing. Dense objects weigh a lot. Heavy things don’t float very well unless they are planned for that purpose. And this alien was not designed to swim. Obviously again as it has no gills, fins, and walks on appendages that flail helplessly in the water. Hope this helps

I asume this is because they can touch the floor in the basement... But the lake is deeper so the death angles cant have anything to stand in the water. Also those red eyed freaks are just weirdos not important |:|.

I think the creatures have a sonar like vision, based on sound. In that flooded basement, I think it could tell the depth, so that it could walk. But in the deep waters, it couldn't tell the depth.

In the first flim ot was an underground bunker with a floor with allowed the death angel to walk underwater but in the second flim the death angel goes into deeper water with a solid surface way beneath the water

Well actually in the 2nd film it shows us the death angels really can't swim

The way I see it, either it's a toddler version which is highly unlikely by its size, or just like humans not everyone can swim, some even are terrified and refuse to get wet but that's just a theory, an alcoholic theory!

Keep in mind that the flooded basement is a lot shallow than that lake that one creature drowned in, which would help explain why the first one was fine, while the second one drowned, since maybe their armor and thin build makes it so they aren’t very buoyant.

True, maybe they sink easily, but are familiar with water.

The water in the basement was not very high, and it likely could crawl along the floor under the water. Meanwhile, in part 2, the water was a bit deeper, and it couldn’t stay afloat, while in the basement, it just was shallow enough for it to stand. Also, they came from a planet with caves and crevices that (according to some sources) likely had shallow water in them, making the death angels more used to that, and since, like with bats, the caves that they lived in didn’t have much or any light, they had no real need for sight, so they relied on sight and echolocation to hunt and find prey for food.

Im Probably Really Late But, I Really Hope They Will Be Releasing A Game Like A Survival Game But In The Quiet Universe.

heres why the death angel in a quiet place dived in the water because it was not super deep so he did not drown but in a quiet place 2 the death angel did drown because his armor was heavey and it was super deep making the death angel drowning to his death

I hope that, if they DO release a 3rd movie, it's not just the same old same old. I think this story would make a good series, though.

Honestly if you look back at a the first movie the timeline between them too are different with Quiet Place few months or a year after the first attack & quiet place 2 shows you everything leading up to that point. But to answer the question it just showing you how they evolved with the first one being later down the line with barely any human life vs how they came to a new strange planet they had to get use to

Because it's low it's low so the monsters can stand in the water and go underwater and tiptoe over there but if something is really deep water they cannot swing

I think there's a correlation between these creatures and water. While they may not be able to swim well, they obviously know water and seem to navigate it well. They also survived a trip on an asteroid that hit Earth, so they seem pretty indestructible!

I always found it interesting how these aliens survived a trip on a ball of fire that was the meteorite, but have sensitive hearing and still could go on a rampage afterward. I think the creatures are a pretty cool concept, I just want more! 😂 I say that until they over do it and we become annoyed 😉

I liked it. The only way it's really similar is due to the fact that they cannot allow themselves to see the creatures/entities, or remain blind basically. While in A Quiet Place, no one can make a sound. But bird box is good, too. I think it's a fun movie 🙂👍

Maybe some are more experienced than others like how calm the first one was compared to the one that jumped in the water all crazy and sh- or the water in the basement was shallow? One or the other 😗

@@RealQuietOne Maybe it wanted to test just how deep it was. When the second one jumped in it jumped out after realizing it had no footing. Plus the 1st scene just looks creepier with it going under and up that way. Either way it stood up.

Good question. They have made a third film, a prequel. Maybe they will have more answers for us?

In the first film, the creature was walking not swimming, while in p2 it was in deep water

But in the first one, you’re in a basement you can touch ground in the second one It’s a lake it’s a lot deeper.

Quiet place 1 the basement is just flooded so the water is shallow so basically the monster is walking in the water BUT in quiet place 2 the water is deeper and the monster has armor so the monster is having a hard time in water ;-;

I think its because its deeper then in the house

At the beginning of the sequel, there was a very brief explanation of what happened to this family during the very start of the "invasion".

Maybe it was just walking in the shallow water.

Maybe in the first one it know it was in water but not the other one

@@RealQuietOne there's that hearing weakness you mentioned, but also the idea that having armored skin would protect it's insides is BS. The force generated has to go somewhere so the outer shell might not be destroyed, but organs would just be liquified on the inside if they were hit with rounds from a tank. I think it should have been relegated to small town where they couldn't receive any military help, or where no one would know to help them like in The Thing or 30 days of night

Yes, I understand it's more shallow than at the pier, but the way the alien just popped under the water made me feel like they were comfortable with water, so that's why it always confused me. 🤔 While I think there are a few contradictory aspects to the films regarding the aliens, that one always stuck out to me. Don't get me wrong, though; I love the movie and always will. It's good ole alien fun ☺️

Their planet didn't have water they don't know how or what to do with water so they can walk on it, and they can jump in it and they adapted to all defense speed and senses but not swimming so that's the answer.

Yeah lol they can’t swim ….that one was only in about two feet of water and seeing is how the creatures are probably 8,9,10..maybe even more …feet tall it’s not going to have a problem with 2 feet of water but in a harbor where the water is most likely anywhere from 10-20-30 feet deep they are for sure going to drown if they don’t know how to swim and honestly that one just crawled not swam under the water

What film you watching the scene in is in the basement she's standing up so was the bloody creature it was not deep enough and no they can't swim pay attention woman.
