The prebuilt version they sent you sounds amazing for what you're paying, wow. Stabs were a pleasant surprise, even if plate-mounted. Hopefully it is just as easy for buyers to achieve similarly decent-sounding stabs. I'm definitely going to recommend this to some friends who I know are interested in getting a custom keyboard of their own.

I want to ask, do you get stab caps on the final version? Because i see the photo from the website it doesn't look like there's one but all the reviews (including yours) has an option for stab caps

Plate mounted stabs is a non issue considering they're included and good enough anyway. My only gripe is the lack of pink color lol

KTT's newest linear. Very smooth and clacky (so much better than Kang Whites, people still recommend those Jesus) quite loud though

if you're buying MZ Z1s might as well go for their MZ Y1s or MZ Studio x HMX Deep Navy for a little bit more

I'm over the budget space. Once you have one you're done. Compared to 300+ boards or even the mode envoy most 100dollar ish boards are just too similar to one another. I would much rather sell all my budget builds and have a 3 or 4 awesome board rotation.

1.2mm PCB with flex-cuts? No, thanks. All these beautiful, budget aluminium boards ruined by foam and flex-cuts

I'd be fine with the thinner PCB, after all they gotta cut costs somewhere, but the flex-cuts really ruin the whole thing, they just make the board sound so thin and inconsistent.

@@hmuy0608 actually 1.2mm and 1.6mm pcb arent priced differently, i have had these OEM to manufacture my pcb for quite sometime now and they are the same, it has more to do with the trending and stuffs, these chinese boards can be so cheap because they all use the pcb came from specific OEMs hence why alot of these PCB looks similar and has similar model number. it depends on the OEM which manufactured these pcb, imo they think making these considerably more difficult to make in budget price is more appealling to buyers (for example u can see how chinese do with their smartphones all flashy tech that was meant for flagship line are put into budget line). 1.2mm flex cut pcb is harder to make, yes, because its harder to wire all the traces around those flex cuts and still get them to pass some standard pcb tests, trust me its not as easy as just wire them around the corners there are factors to consider. many early chinese flex cut pcbs i found eventually skip these tests to cut down costs thus leading to some weird failures during daily usage which is unacceptable, they are just as inconsistent as those keyboards made by some random hobbyist which they cant afford to do proper pcb testing
