I watched him win, by a whole lap. RIP Stefan Bellof. You were fantastic. You held the Nurburgring Nordschliefel Old Circuit for 28 years.

Derek never misses a beat. I could listen to he and HJS banter all day lol.

Those cars, shapes, liveries, and drivers. WHAT. AN. ERA.

Legendary assembly of cars and drivers. Group C was fantastic to watch and as a Porsche fan I was happy to see the 956/962 take many victories.

Thinking all these drivers need a sitcom. Cool, collective Bell. Energetic Stuck. Mass is just Mass.

Stuck is every bit as vibrant and energetic as he was 20 years ago. All 4 gents are absolute legends as are the cars!

I wish there was like whole 10 episodes series of 1 hour interview with these drivers, it is amazing they are still there willing to tell the story and it should be preserved because they seem like great speakers.

Love seeing content like this. Obviously we can’t get this everyday, but watching the old guys drive these things is really cool. Love seeing them on track actually being driven!

As a teen watching the 956s and the 962s racing by and seeing Derek Bell, Al Holbert, Stuck, Jacky win leman was just incredible. Thank you Porsche for making me an all time motorsport and Porsche fan and a 911 owner. Such wonderful machines

The great respect that Porsche show with the old people that make your history is an undenied proof that your soul goes beyond your wonderful cars.

Auch wenn mittlerweile abgedroschen klingt: Geil, einfach nur geil ! Der Traum-Rennwagen meiner Jugend ( Bj.1967 ) und die Fahrer von damals noch dazu. Da wäre ich sehr, sehr gerne dabei gewesen. Einfach schön, da in Erinnerungen zu schwelgen. Den "NewMan" 962er hatte ich als RC-Modell von Tamiya,einfach ein wunderschönes Modell. Sauschnell und gut zu beherrschen, leider mittlerweile im Modellhimmel. 😢 Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeitreise. Grüße. Markus Frömbgen

The only thing missing from this excellent video is Jackie Ickx. I wonder why he was not there. He’s done a lot of Porsche PR over the years

On the Saturday evening before the 1982 Silverstone 1000kms I managed to get some interior shorts of 956/001 chassis as it was in preparation for the following days race.. Watch quali, go into Towcester for some food 'n beer - then back to the pits.. epic times

Love Hans Stuck!!! When I was young I became a fan, when I heard him say, "I drive with my butt!" Priceless.

I remember watching Group C on TV when I was young with my dad. Legendary racing. Unfortunately, LMP1 will be remembered the same since it's demise, too expensive as was Group C. I'm certainly excited to see many factory teams returning with LMDh

This was the pinnacle of motorsport combined with the 1st F1 turbo era.

Stuck was always my favorite. What a character lol i actually just picked up the hot wheels #17 shell 962c the day this video premiered oddly enough

Seen the 956/962 race live in the mid eighties at Mosport, Daytona and Watkins Glen. Mind-blowing!

I used to have a bunch of posters of these gorgeous cars when I was a little kid. My dad God bless his soul used to work for Porsche earlier in his career, and ever since I fell in love with this brand; immaculate engineering and unique everlasting designs.

There is no other car I like driving the most then the Porsche 956 on Forza Motorsports. Soon I'll have a 1/64 Diecast Model of all this greatness. Although I was born in the 90s these are by far my favorite Group C racing era. Thank You all for sharing 🙌

The cars were particularly light weight only 850kgs (with nigh on 800hp!) until 1990 where the cars added at least 50kg due to FIA regulations. I think this is why they are so pleasant to drive due to the light weight but also dynamically the car is just an amazing piece of engineering in every aspect.. I like that the history of Porsche's racing success is being celebrated so that young people now can appreciate the cars in real life, I think what you are doing is very important to capturing the interest in racing and in the industry. The 956 and 962 iterations and the people involved in the race team at the track are all heroes to the sport. You see the car you hear the noise you know what it is: Porsche.

Was wäre es schön gewesen, wenn Stefan Bellof jetzt dabei gewesen wäre. Ganz große Gänsehaut!!!

One of the greats, never to be seen again driven in anger - 787B, XJR9 - 13 and all the 962's... sad to see they've all gone to be replaced by soulless EV's.
