loved the longer vlog! it was great company while i got ready this morning 💗 i’ve had legendborn on my tbr for a while now & i feel like i’ve been waiting for the right moment but after watching you talk about it, i might need to pick it up soon. i’ve been craving some escapism lately soooo this might be one of my next reads!! i own trust by hernan diaz but i haven’t read it yet bc i’m intimidated?? but you enjoying in the distance is making me want to give trust a go! and eventually in the distance too!! congrats again on completing the half marathon!! 🏃‍♀️

Aw, I'm so glad I could keep ya company while you go ready! I hope you get to read it soon because it was fabulous. I have nothing bad to say about it! I am very interested in reading Trust but I think I'll need to be in the right mindset for that. I hear it's very different from In The Distance, but his writing style still shines! I am by no means a heavy lit fic reader, I'm trying to read one once a month but I enjoyed In the Distance! Thank you for watching!!

This was really cute! I read Legendborn a while back and you’re making me wanna reread it and continue the series! I also am guilty of picking up the audiobook of a physical book I feel meh about! And I also didn’t love The Vegetarian (there’s a lot of criticisms of its translator, a white woman -I think!!- who doesn’t actually speak Korean and can only read it???). Congrats again on finishing the half-marathon❤ 🎉

I was super disappointed with The Vegetarian and maybe I did it to myself by putting it on a pedestal! I did read about the translation and that gives me ick! Thank you for making me feel better about basically not finish it. haha
