    I cried; I follow Gabor closely now and his work has deeply touched my life. I’ve watched fifty or more of his interviews and read his work. There were a few specific questions I had that I had never (yet) been able to find answers to, that were answered here today. Thank you again Gabor.

I also want to acknowledge the work that we individuals are doing in our own lives, the deep introspection, processing, and integration is profound, and certainly not easy.     Oh man that was real and made me cry I have been very interested in Gabors way of processing these traumas and feel like he’s a brother from another mother…very unlike my own many brothers! He had taken this to a level in which some will run and hide from and some will embrace. Anything is good to help us all wake from what we’ve been programmed to believe Thanks bro

    Rachel, with ancestrial trauma there's an important book out there by Mark Wolynn: "It didn't start with you. How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle". This is work we as family/parents can do that frees our kids so they don't have to carry whatever they take on from those who came before us!

    My trauma is currently expressing with depressive symptoms, as well as phobias and panic attacks. I am taking away the idea of exercising self-compassion and stopping putting other people's needs before my own. Also want to read Dr. Maté's books. Not sure how much can be remedied, as I have been unemployed for 4 years now and may not have an easy time finding a life calling. But I think I am starting to see that it is more important to be self-compassionate than to be successful and to please other people.

    @@a-k6575 That is amazing. I know just how hard it is to stay on track mentally with all the chaos around you. In my case, although I have underwent a transformation, the environment around me, as in the people, never changed. And therefor it is very easy to slip into old ways of thinking with all the pressures around me. But I KNOW it is making me sick and I know it has taken me so far off track of who I was meant to be that I try my hardest to fight back against it without totally destroying my life by getting fired from my jobs or getting kicked out of my house lol. Because it requires you to fight back in a way and stand up for yourself and push back against others who you have unwittingly let walk all over you and define who you are. It's very hard but it's what keeps us alive.

    19:09 - What is blocking our true selves? that's the work, isn't it? Uncovering patterns, blocks, and belief systems. Uncovering our shadows, bringing them to light. Gabor has an amazing ability to reveal the underlying issue out of the question, to reframe and bring light to it for the client to have that aha moment/lightbulb. It's not the vitality, it's the distraction of others, feeling others' pain, and grief, and avoiding our own, which somehow makes us FEEL better, but worse? Oy vay! As an Empath, I so resonate with this, (I was a people pleaser & caregiver and felt it was my duty to others first) NO more! Boundaries, self-care, self-love, healing, forgiveness, and responsibility (our own, no one else's) 😇❤ I had to edit - the resentment piece - wow! Mic drop...

    I really like what Gabor said about the system, I also feel that pushback when in spiritual circles there is talk that we are the system. That being said, there is a similar statement that has more validity, namely, that the system is also inside of us. Not in a way where we are designing it or we *are* it, that we are willing participants, but simply because as subjects of the system, its logic infiltrates our subconscious mind, and we take on its values and deceptions. This is done forcefully, it must be said, but its imprints on our psyche is not to be underestimated. So there is a part of the system that, to varying degrees, we internalize. You can see this in the way the descendants of slaves tragically whip their children at higher rates, or, more controversially, the way the descendants of Holocaust victims treat their neighbors in Palestine. Given Gabor's prior statements, I'm pretty sure he would agree. That all being said, Gabor is very right to point out that these structures are to some extent designed (they're also emergent) and are working as intended for a small minority of beings, at least on a material level. I appreciate that point because it can be seen as a dualistic or discriminative idea to put out there, but it is the reality.

    Thank you. I learned a lot. To clear up one very common misconception, "The Selfish Gene" is not about people being selfish. Evolution favours the genes that reproduce by whatever means. Humans have a much better chance of reproducing if we cooperate. Therefore we are genetically hardwired to have empathy (unless something goes wrong). The book even has a chapter, "Nice Guys Finish First."

    I'd respectfully like to add that we should beware of seeing intrinsic value into trauma and healing because that can create a vicious cycle of attachment to pain that doesn't serves health in any way. Demonising trauma is just as shortsighted as seeing it as a source of strength, trauma happens and luckily we can heal but the focus should stay on how to maintain health without having to continuously deconstruct and reconstruct until scars are so rigid that true evolution remains stuck in cycles.

    the longing and the grief debilitate and paralyze me. sadness and grief and longing and aching and misery and nostalgia: flood me. my heart literally physically hurts. HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO ME? HOW AND WHY? he doesn't miss me? I'm that easy to replace? I'M THAT EASY TO BE THIS CRUEL TO? I don't deserve a goodbye nor an explanation? our connection and friendship wasn't real? I AM STUCK IN FREEZE (mostly, perpetually). my heart is so heavy. the grief; the ache; the longing. I miss him. I needed him. I miss our connection. HOW THE FUCK COULD HE ACTUALLY REALLY DO THIS TO ME? One day we're talking all day, every day, the next, we're complete strangers. I die inside. PANIC PANIC PANIC AND. SO. MUCH. GRIEF!! I truly die inside. The pain is unbearable. I am dizzy with grief. Truly unimaginable darkness. DEBILITATING PARALYZING PANIC... I wish to die. I have severe PTSD. the person whom I thought was my best friend, gave me this PTSD. he raped me. on a soul level. he viciously brutally violently maliciously raped my soul. ghosted me. discarded me like garbage. replaced me for another.     We don’t forgive we just move onto the next trauma, pretty much every person you’ve ever seen staring off into space and making a disgusting face out of nowhere not thinking anyone’s working versus a flashback to a random embarrassing moment and it sucks that those are the things that pop in to your head or maybe not maybe it’s to help you appreciate who you are now

    Cornering Jennifer in a top down cross examination is not the right way to meet her. She is also getting a lot of recognition, fulfillment and purpose from this sacred work. “So why are you still doing it?” does not meet her. It’s as if quitting was the only right and only way.

    My guardian angel if you wanna call him that sent me this and I truly feel 20 minutes in the woman talking in the beginning as a victim of the system being she thinks climate change is actually real. It’s not weed control or whether it’s literally NCIA documents and I love the fact you’re talking about how fucked up the political system is but all you guys are doing is complaining I feel someone famous should put up a big screen by the house and senate chambers telling people what the bill is that they are voting on and what the person we elected voted for that way we can organize people to at least be aware

    This is a woman with decades of experience in healing and meditation,she certainly is not "in her head"and just because she smiles at times is no indication of this.She is a woman of deep compassion and who has gone through her own deep healing.Just because she doesn't have Gabors more dour look does not mean shes out of touch.She has worked with some of the best healers and people like Stan Groff who are leaders in the healing field.

    She knows it is polite. That was her generation. Our generation doesn't know anything about smiling. You smile at someone and you get a hostile look. We are so stressed out, we don't know how to smile at strangers.
