I'm happy your videos are back, such a nice surprise to see this pop up in my notifs. (Totally get the need for social media breaks though.) I've recently "stolen" your combo of Pilot Capless (except bc. of tiny hands I use a Decimo) and DeAtramentis Archive Ink and it's SO GOOD. I wish I'd tried it sooner, pretty sure I found my forever planner pen + ink. 😍 Also your Weeks looks amazing, totally makes me want to hop back into mine even more. Because of Life Stuff™I mostly hadn't touched my planners since the year started and then "accidentally" got back into an A6 bujo, but now I'm looking to switch back to the Hobonichi life for March. I'm excited, but also slightly nervous since the bujo brought my daily journaling consistency back like nothing else. Mostly excited though.

Good to see an update. No shade on the planner hopping from me! I hopped to a Spring start Cousin that I was on the fence about. Then moved from my weeks to the cousin as my planner and journal combined. That took me by surprise. I’ve lasted a month but fully expect to hop back in the weeks for the planning side at some point!

Glad your back, but just wanted to say YT breaks need to be normalized as much as possible! Also planner hopping! :) Do what feels right for you, we're here for it! Side note: YT really needs a mechanism of letting creators go on breaks without penalizing their ranks in the "ominous algorithm". Unfortunately I don't think they care about their creators enough to do something like that. :(

Honestly a lot more people need to hear about how great the A6 day-free is! I impulsively bought one last November without a clear purpose for it, and it has since evolved into a combination of a more conventional diary (i.e., a place to ramble about the events in my daily life, my interests and hobbies) and a mental health/therapy companion where I can journal through some difficult feelings and sometimes mull over my tarot pulls. I also recently switched to using the calendar view monthlies for gratitude entries and the vertical list monthlies for tracking my mood and energy levels. I don’t think you mentioned this in the video - how do you use the monthlies in your day-free? So glad to see you back on YT 🖤

Its good to hear from you again. I love seeing how you use any of your planners! I wasn't expecting to see Hobonichi, but it was a very pleasant surprise. ❤ I really like that orange(?) ink in your day free notebook. I think its really nice to see folks using all different color inks. Do you still use your pilot vanishing point in the hobonichi or do you find yourself reaching for other fountain pens now? I wonder how that is with your move? Also, I feel the same! I love flipping back through my journals. There is just something about it. Even if im still in the current month I like to go back and re-read or just look at the pages. ✨ Thanks for sharing!

I’m still only using my pilot vp in my planner - I’ll give it a final ink up before we hit the road. But otherwise I have several (with different ink colors) on rotation for my journal. It feels like a fun space to play around with different colors and nibs! The orange is by Kaweco btw! It’s been a spring favorite for me 🧡

For me, having only one system is working great. I use Hobonichi weeks (in fact, the Kinbor version) for planning and the blank pages for commonplacing. And for the dailies, I made my own daily inserts. The two are inside a TN Hobonichi weeks size. It works!!!

I've been using the Hobo Weeks (or Mega) for 4 years now and I haven't found anything that would have as many of the advantages. It's just such a great size and amount of structure/freedom. This year I'm trying the Sterling Ink version for my personal planner (HW for work) and honestly I still think of it as a Weeks 😆 Like my brain never made the switch. 😅 I like it for the white pages and lack of text but otherwise it's pretty much the same. It's the form factor I'll be using probably the rest of my life. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Nobody makes the same thing in A6 anyway. 🤭

I use to be a planner hopper but i went into the realization its not a very good habut to have hahahah, i just mindset myself into the thinking that planner hopping accumulates to be very costly esp if its dated planners, and thinking thqt i don't have a choice, i bought a new set up and that's it. I just realized that the reason why its now working is because i'm forcing myself to daily journal when i don't really need it and is not for me... so i'm using the a5 hobonichi plain at the moment, and is working very well. I actually miss the quotes in the daily pages... i kinda like reading through them.
