I have the theory that when Amicia and Lucas got separated in the Nebula, Lucas had similiar visions with Hugo. That was Hugo's Plan B: He knew that perhaps her sister will not have the strenght to kill him, so he pleaded to Lucas to do it instead of her if something like that happened. This why Lucas felt so sad and in shambles the moment he found Amicia in the Nebula. In 19:19 you can see his face like saying "forgive me for what i´m going to do".

It's possible since that was Basilius macula. But then again, Basilius is a potential ancestor of De Rune's family as well. Prima Macula is said to be passed on through bloodline and that's why they called the one who has it "The Carrier". We could say either Robert or Beatrice is the direct descendant of Basilius(i think it's Beatrice since she's an alchemist and she knows about the Order) and Amicia was also the carrier but they Macula is in Dormancy stage(meaning at idle state or fully inactive). But at some unfortunate event, Hugo who was born and still a child somehow awaken it. That's why in the first game the evil priest was saying the prima macula was awoken in their sleep for centuries. It makes sense too why the island(where Basilius died) is full of religious or cult about child embers. They were praying to that plague not realizing it was a corruption disease. So it's also makes sense why Hugo had to be put down so the Macula dies with it. However, Amicia is the only one who was still alive at this point...so you could say the post credit ending scene is Amicia's great great great grandchildren who awoken the Macula again. In short, to destroy Macula completely is to end the bloodline. Unless, the game writer have something else to tell(or retcon) the lore. That's the only logical explanation i can tell.

wasnt it the rats inside? macula is not a beast or something that cant be destroyed, it follows in blood, bloodline, writers showed a guy in modern world that, its a bloodline thing, carriers of macula, i think im right by what i understood,

@@FehuTv69 Correct, Macula is not a disease but they called it the first corruption. It could be an ancient curse or supernatural. Amicia is actually a carrier too except her Macula is in dormancy state(fully inactive) unlike Hugo that's why the Order said the Macula inside Hugo somehow awaken. So it's either Robert or Beatrice is the descendants of Basilius but it's highly possible is Beatrice(they mom) since she knows a lot about the order and Macula.

The vibe and the feel of this video resembles Shepard's run for the crucible. Even the soundtrack kind-of resonates on a similar tone after Shepard arrived at Citadel after transported from Earth... Even Hugo's voice resembles starchild's... Am I the only one seeing this similarities...?

This is one of the coolest depictions of the plague I’ve ever and will probably ever see

Havent played the game just yet i was just curious about the ending, but i have to say the voice acting is WOW. I am sure the game will be awesome as well

@@syedarman4720 I think in part 3, the ending would be someone have the same case as Hugo (as we can see at the end from a plague tale requiem) but this time, Amicia succeed to be the protector with her own way as Hugo told her not to follow the phoenix.

Good to see I'm not the only one who thought that! Especially the final battle, I could hear that quote, "Let go of your battle. Let go of redemption. Let go of Dillion. Don't let your darkness hurt anyone else."

If Amicia had just done what was obviously necessary weeks ago, a lot of death and suffering could have been avoided.

Just a theory, but if the Macula courses through the carriers veins, with the help of modern medicine, they probably could solve it with the help of perhaps a complete blood transplant? But given the supernatural nature of the macula, it's hard to say.

I thought the first one was really boring but kept hearing good reviews and assumed it was a slow burn. . So I got about 3/4 of the way through it and said screw it because it never got better. Thank god the two characters keep repeating how to get past the rats, I would have never figured it out, so glad the devs were looking out for me and my smooth ass brain because I wasn't sure I'd be able to figure out how to get past this goofy looking wave of bouncing rats in this walking simulator, I'm actually very glad they literally never stop talking and there is never dead air, I sometimes forget that I'm playing a video game when I start drooling but the characters constantly making quips about everything really helps keep my attention on the screen, certainly voting goty for this bad boy

It seem this days gamedevs favour a "tragedy with a so-called meaning". And I really HATE THIS. Whats so wrong with a "happy ending" ? People these days seem to enjoy chewing glass instead of celebrating a victory. That's my one complaint with this ending. It's depressing and made me choke up. But I can't stand it when games that have the most violent universes, where it's kill or be killed and they try to hammer that "You don't need to fight" cliche.

Amecia is dedicating her life to preventing the Macula Plague and in the post credits scene we see a baby now has a Strand of the Macula Plague in modern Day.
