Beautiful and well kept. It saddens me when I see old cemeteries and mausoleums that are not kept up--people using them as landfills, leaking mausoleums, people breaking into the caskets, bones scattered on the ground, etc.

A man in town owns a kool junk store and in his back workshop he does unbelievable stain glass work. You can look through the big office windows and watch him work. What an artist ! His lighthouses and the water scenes and other pictures are all one of a kind.

According to the spirits in this video, the person who designed it was Frank Lloyd Wright in Queens. I had absolutely no idea he designed it. Note, this may not be correct, but that was what the spirit said: 3:18 "I don't know his name." 3:24 "Frank Wright LLoyd" 4:29 "Incredible Frank LLoyd Wright!"

Las hermosas vidrieras creo que son "Modern Style" también llamado en Francés "Art Nouveau" y en España (Europa) Modernismo. He visto en Barcelona hermosas vidrieras modernistas. Uno de los artistas modernistas más famosos fue Antoni Gaudí: miren en Wikipedia. Creo que mis comentarios en KZread se traducen automáticamente al Inglés: les ruego confirmación.

Amazing. I own a quad crypt in the main mausoleum (my mother, 1993 and sister, 1994 are interred there already), Unit 7, and have walked around the older part, many times. A friend is interred in the old part...but I never paid attention to those doors, or knew anything about those sections. Thank you.

According to an article, the rate of cremation in 1972 in the US was only 5%. I’m amazed to see so many cremated remains in one place, given how old some of the dates are on the niches. I have worked in the funeral home industry for 13 years and the option for cremation now is stunning.

That must be breathtaking to see in person. I do not see places like this as sad or spooky. It’s nice to see that these souls are being remembered for a few moments. Also there are flowers on some of the niches and crypts. These places are filled with history.

Don't know what brought me to your site but I have never seen the pride and respect this place has for the individuals who have passed. The upkeep of this place is to be commended. The dates on some of these crypts are old and are very much a part of history. Judging how beautiful this place is its probably only reserved for the wealthy. Can't imagine what the cost is to maintain this beautiful place. Thanks for sharing. It is nice to know there are places that still exist that respect the dead. We have some property that has a civil war small cemetery located deep in the woods. It has a historical marker that is placed at the entrance. There are 18 confederate solders buried there and two families. The state keeps it Maintained and puts flags on each grave every year. We also place flowers on each grave during certain times of the year. I have done research and found the backgrounds on 11 of the soldiers and the two families. The two families were killed during the fighting and are buried right beside two of the soldiers with the last name. Not far from the cemetery I found the old home place by research historical records at the courthouse. Really interesting how people lived back then and what the did for a living.

@15:18 Captain George Wallace was a hugely respected gentleman of his time. When he passed the ordered flags flown at half mast at the Merchant Exchange, Meigs Warf, and Marine Chamber of Commerce. He was a pioneer resident of Redwood City. He was a bar pilot (a pilot who navigates a ship from a pilot station over a bar and often into the harbor or to the docks). Very cool!

What an absolutely amazing final resting place, just WOW! Seeing the dates on these niches always makes me think that these people were born and lived long lives and then died……40-90 years before I was even born and then I think of my own mortality and imagine a young person who won’t be born for 75 years coming to video my final resting spot.
