Stafford is extremely underrated. As a bear fan I watched him a lot over the passed decade. he forced the lions to winning records and playoffs with absolutely trash on both sides of the ball. Look at how many wins the lions had since he left. 3... Never bet against Stafford I'm the 4th quarter . 45 comeback wins. he got ignored so much because of the team he played for. I said for over a decade when analysts asked and other fans "what qb would you want with the game on the line with 2mins left and down more than a field goal. I always said Stafford because unlike most fans out of the NFC north and not blinded by fanboy fury for Rodgers... Over and over and over since he was drafted I've seen him make those passes. I've seen him will his team back with zero weapons with Megatron either out or retired and won games. I'm not a lions fan but they wasted his prime like other players they've had over the passed 4 decades... If he wasn't in the NFC north and competing against one of the most overrated Qbs who statistically struggles in big game moments or playing from behind... He would have gotten more respect for what he did with who he had to work with. Think about it. If Stafford had even half the talent Rodgers has had in WRs and running backs like Jones or when Lacy won his award before letting himself go. he'd have more than one ring. I'd take Stafford in big game situations over Rodgers any day of the week. The stats do not lie. 45 comeback victories. But because Rodgers makes pretty passes or crazy hail Mary passes in games that don't matter only to ultimately lose over and over and over in the postseason... Took almost 13 years for people to wake up and see why the Rams did what they did.

But what Stafford was doing was trying to MOVE him off his spot… if Vonn Bell just stayed there, (frozen) then he would have made the play or at least stopped Stafford from throwing it there. In a play action situation where a LB or really any defender is reacting to the play fake, then yeah I guess that is considered freezing that player. But come on dude in this situation he is literally just trying to move him. All the people he has to acknowledge and account for and under pressure that would MELT a normal person in that scenario are why he has earned every cent the Rams are paying him. I've seen so much of this dude that it's hard for me to take someone serious that questions what he is. I automatically just feel like they haven't watched him and are just going off something they heard. It's people that will literally say he isn't good how do I respect and opinion like that?

Just think...this was his first year, in a new offense, new receivers, and coaches! Do you think he gets a little better, more comfortable, and productive the second year!? I think so! I can't even imagine what this offense will be like with a healthy Oline, Allen Robinson, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, Higbee, a 100% healthy Cam Akers, and OBJ returns mid season...OMG! This could end up being Matt Stafford's best year of his career! 5,000 yards, 50 TDs, 15 Ints. 70% Completion, and 8-10 yards per attempt! And if the Rams sign Gilmore and/or T. Matthews, the Defense will give Matt the ball in great field position all year!

Having played quarterback for roughly two snaps in middle school practice, I’d like to weigh in: Seems like the No Look Pass could/should be mastered by future quarterbacks as it could put defenses just that much more off balance/guessing. Potentially highly under-utilized and could revolutionize the Quarterback position in certain aspects.

i luv your first sentence - it certainly qualifies you to give us an insiders look at things. I've been a lions fan for 62 years. The lions are the only team in history (i could be off on this) the only team in history with two HOFers who retired in their prime rather than continue being in misery as a lion - Barry and Calvin- Matthew didnt retire, and he also will be a HOFer but he had to leave detroit to do it.

Who was it, was it that dumb tight end from Denver that hangs out with Bayless that said, "He's a good QB, not great but good"? Fans of any team in the NFC North could have told you that Matty was, and is, an absolute badass. Has been since the jump. You just didn't see him play because he was nearly murdered for a dozen years in Detroit. I can't speak for all GB fans, but I can tell you that I recognize and respect this man's body of work. He was THE reason that our two games each year against dumb Detroit were *juuuuuust* a little scary. Well, him and CJ, AKA Megatron.

The throw of the helmet catch was the least impressive part. That's a throw almost every nfl qb makes. The escape was amazing and insane. The catch was otherworldly. I'm not trying diminish anything eli did, on that play or in that superbowl. Just pointing out the amazing parts of the helmet catch wasn't the throw.

Now not having ur head turned towards the receiver and making that throw in that moment between 2 defenders was hella impressive!! He had to look off that safety to complete that throw! Was a absolute dime by Stafford!! Was one of the most impressive big time throws in a SB i ever witnessed!! Stafford is a baller man!!

Really? That pass is the moment of his career? He's been doing this for 13 years, you guys just didn't pay attention. What about when he had his shoulder separated and went out to throw one more pass to win the game? While this is a brilliant throw, that's not the defining moment of his career. He has many of those, you guys just never paid attention to him. He's put up huge passing numbers and TDs per season his whole career. He has the biggest arm on football. It's disappointing that the NFL Network of all people are so amazed by him, he's been a top QB for years, just stuck in a system that couldn't give him the room to run.
