This is a pattern which repeats. Look at the original equation. Its obvious zero is a solution. This is a combination of 4 consecutive integers. The difference is in signs..The explanation is more important than the solution. This pattern is often seen in tests for mathletes.

Why don't you let a=x^2+17x+71 and b=x^2-17x+71? It will be much easier.

(x+7)^2+3(x+7)=(x-10)^2+3(x-10)=>17x+70=-17x+70=>x =0

Проще числитель и знаменатель умножить на выражение стоящее в числителе и ответ виден автоматом х равен нулю чуть преобразовавдробь

@@jeffthebracketman what? are you stupid? (x+7)(x+8)(x+9)(x+10)/(x-7)(x-8)(x-9)(x-10) if x=0 (0+7)(0+8)(0+9)(0+10)/(0-7)(0-8)(0-9)(0-10)=(7*8*9*10)/(-7*-8*-9*-10)=(1*1*1*1)/(-1*-1*-1*-1)=1/1=1
