    In x^4=(x-4)^4 both sides of the equation are positive for all x. Taking the 4th root of both sides and consider all possibilities for LHS and RHS: ++, +-, -+, --. The solution is -x=x-4 or x=-(x-4) => x=2 is a real root. If you are looking for complex conjugates, then the factor theorem and (x-2)(x^2-4x+8)=0.

    Тут так сложно решать не надо. Вариант решения, это использовать свойство отрицательных чисел умножаемых на самого себя становиться положительным числом. Не сложно увидеть, что в данном примере Х=2, так как 2-4=-2. А -2 в четвёртой степени это 16. There is no need to make such a difficult decision here. A solution is to use the property of negative numbers multiplied by themselves to become a positive number. It is not difficult to see that in this example X = 2, since 2-4 = -2. A -2 to the fourth power is 16.

    You lost the 4rth root? You should have 4 solutions but you missed an opportunity to do another perfect square: (X^2 - (x-4)^2) You squared the right side but could have treated this a perfect square instead. Do you agree?

    No. That equation has degree = 3, not 4. The degree of an equation is the maximum power of x when the equation is reduced at its minimum form. If you try, you'll see that x^4 will disappear

    yes but we'll get one solution x^4=(x-4)^4 take 4th root x=|x-4| x=x-4, x=-x+4 So x=2

    Надо сначала вычислить дискриминант, а потом делать вывод о решении квадратного уравнения. Все хорошо, но не рационально решено банальное квадратное уравнение. Зачеркивание в алгебре допускается при уничтожении слагаемых с разными знаками, а вот при сокращении дроби необходимо писать результат, даже если это 1.

    No. This is a 3rd degree equation. The degree of an equation is the maximum power of X when the equation is reduced at its minimum form and that one is not the minimum form.

    @@massimoarmillotta2705 He's right. There are 4 roots to the equation in the power of 4. x=2 are two repeated roots. x=2-i and x=2+i are two complex conjugates.
