These folks clearly did not watch the entire video. If they had, they would have seen the white membrane roof. This one guy must think he is some kind of journalist. This accounts for his shooting from the hip without being completely informed. Keystone knows what it is doing. The angled grey paint deflects sunlight on the sides of the RV. But the white membrane presents a barrier to sunlight and heat. Keystone is not going to screw up its most popular model. Great video of a great rig. Good job as usual, Myles!

I love both of these. They managed to give a fresh modern look to a product I always thought would look the same forever. Lol.

How does Cougar address the heat absorption? Does that dark color add 10 degrees interior heat on an 80 degree - full sun day? Keeping it clean might be a challenge. But….other than those concerns…gorgeous looking fifth wheel.

It’s obviously going to be hotter as it is an aesthetic over function option. 1. Not everyone buying this will camp in it in hot summer climates. 2. It may just take the RV a bit longer to cool down to a set temp and the AC may have to run more frequently, but in most cases it should still be able to get to a reasonably comfortable temp in most climates. I do agree it will take work to keep it looking clean!

Like the gray slightly better. I'd like to see a midnight blue pearl option.

I think the RV'S with the full body paint are a lot nicer but I know it adds more money to the cost of the RV! Love the smoked glass windows yet it still looks bright looking out Great privacy while keeping the outside light in So much storage!!! I like the style of floor vents as well

For years one of the selling points of a trailer was plywood drawers, not wrapped particle board because it loosened and fell apart. So surprised to see this drop in quality by Cougar.

Maybe they found a better way to wrap them.

So far, I don’t like the fact that there’s no storage above the loveseat in the table, and I don’t like the fact that there is a table there instead of two more recliners. Myles, Thanks again for another great presentation though!

Hey Myles I like the inside of this Cougar 316RLS fifth wheel! I like the new floor vents that they are using. I love the interior colors that they are using. I'm glad that they are using the black out shades. I'm glad they are continuing to use the electric fireplace space heater. Are they putting a heat-pump in any of the AC'S? I'm glad you have space on both sides of the oven! They continue to impress us on what they are doing in their RV'S.!

Outside appearance is absolutely gorgeous! Both the two colors look amazing, inside .. line the slide-out flooring matching as well as the sub flooring! Gotta do away with the island.. it's just to close with the kitchen/livingroom. If you're going full-time living is a eye sore. Instead where the counter is next to tv/stove extend out with a 2 drawer cabinet with a short wallto give a enclosed kitchen with overlook. Put stove and microwave next to pantry..love the bathroom slide door! Bedroom is nice but would be nice to have a slide bed for more room. Over all its beautiful and has potential! Maybe a dishwasher?

Love all your honest reviews!!! I have an off the wall question for you. I’ve been looking for some good reviews on all these new RV stoves/ovens. (Blackstone, GE, Insignia....) wondering how well these bigger ovens cook/heat evenly and hold the right temperature. Any ideas were I could look...

Hate windows behind stoves grease trap! Ugh. But love seeing a sofa with end tables so you have a place for decor or to sit a book or drink

Nice, keystone has always been a step above others. I have owned two of their rigs and loved them both.

Looks really cool, maybe hot though. I love how the inside of trailers are not that orange orange wood color.

The grey, mostly because I can't imagine how hot the black one will get in the sun! Not really a fan of either color though. Maybe a lighter grey, or better yet (to me) silver.

It looks like there might have been some storage behind the living room t.v. I love the kitchen counter and the newer color scheme. I like the gray full body paint, but I think it might show dirt. I once had a black van and we had to wash it weekly because it constantly looked dirty. We do not need dual sinks in the bathroom; we would rather have the counter space. (But for some people this is a big thing). I really like this RLS mid-model. Great job Keystone and Myles for showing it.

I'd go with grey.

Love this RV.... when I saw the wrapped drawers, I would be concerned about wear & tear. It's a beautifully clever to hid any potential flawed base product but I'm wondering how durable that would be over time. Also any time I see a double vanity, I get excited! Still shopping so thanks so much for all the content you share. Overall 👍

I like this RV , and I like the gray color. they should paint in other colors into the body of it. they should make a brown color RV, I like this floor plan of this RV , but I have one beef with it. the way they place the television entertainment center. you can't see the TV from the one couch. I would remove that television entertainment center and build a counter that connects from the wall to the center island counter. and then I would have a TV. what lifts up out of the countertop , and then everyone would be able to see the television sitting on the couches. and where the television entertainment center was. I would put an entertainment chair there. and then I would take those end tables out. what are alongside the one couch and replaced that couch with a bigger couch with cup holders on the arms.. and you can get an end table and put it in front of the couch. another thing I noticed it doesn't have much storage compartment space outside. I don't know if they can add that on..😏

My only complaint and I have this issue with my Passport too; the bed has no room to walk up near the top and that makes it hard to make the bed and get into it without having to crawl up the bed.

I like the gray, however, I am wondering if the black would be boiling in the summer? I am a four season RV’er, so I like the water heaters for the under belly.

1. Was this the first time you were in this rig? You seemed to NOT know a lot about this unit. 2. What kept you from pulling this 5th wheel out, away from other rigs so you could show us what all four sides look like? It was cramped between two other campers and we couldn't get a good look at the outside all around. 3. LOVE the airy open floor plan in light color! it's about time we stepped up the light interiors. 4. Love the modern blackout shades, just wish we could hang them without the valance. 5. Those recliners look stiff. 6. Like the hidden spare tire, but hate to see it taking space in my front compartment. 7. Does that side compartment open on both sides? That's a big storage to reach into from one side 8. Are the slow close drawers and cabinet hinges strong enough to keep shifting goods from opening doors in transit? 9. Wrapped drawers? Wrapped with what? a thin laminate that is going to peel? If using decent quality wood, why take the chance? 10. Love the trash can storage and the foil, paper towel, zip lock bag storage above it. 11. Dual vanity. What a waste. I'm not a big guy, and my wife isn't a big gal, but I can't imagine both of us in that bathroom at same time, especially with the toilet placement. 12. The bed frame storage looks very small for a king bed. 13. Love the stainless bathroom sink 14. I like the dark exterior. Looks sharp and clean. i could see myself rolling down the Hiway in this color rig....just not THIS rig!

Appreciate your comment and you stated some good points! I’m curious what I did not seem to know? My family owns a Cougar fifth wheel and I sold them for 3 years with dozens of videos I’ve made of Cougar models online. I also could not move this RV because this was at an industry event where every RV is already placed and staged for people to come look at. It’s not at an RV dealership’s lot.

I just bought a cougar travel trailer…love it, hate the bed…..no table next to bed is aweful, and making the bed is rediculous…I’ve seen other trailers are doing the same….

Totally agree..the off closet side?/ huh? what? I couldn't get out, not enough room to sit and get dressed. and no night stand? glasses? book? phone up high. no way.

I think at some of the higher price points of these fifth wheels.They need to have a full stove.Not just a small one that you could barely put a pizza in. The light in the shower seems really close to the shower head. I hope water doesn't get into it.

The dog leash holder is my favorite. The back couch is so small, 😢

I have a 2012 Cougar that has a ceiling fan.

That massive mirror in the bathroom is a complete waste unless it has storage behind it.

The storage of the master bedroom needs attention.

Needs cabinets above the bed and kitchen table, theater seating, also need medicine cabinet instead of that mirror, is there room for a built-in generator, other then that nixe job

I’m looking for a two bedroom or bupbed room 36 ft.

Everybody stealing small ideas from Brinkley. They need to stop putting heat vents in the floors. Many others do it, why cant cougar??

Quality is suspect, that second drawer on the island had a huge gap between the drawer front and the drawer box. where are the fly screens for the windows? Why use black for the blinds,? Why put dual sinks in the bathroom when the left one can only be used by kneeling on the toilet? This unit costs the earth, no doubt, but they don’t fit a reversing camera? Water lines in the pass through storage are not insulated, how much would that cost?

Shelves above the bed in stead of side tables are a pain to use.

No wrapped wood.

U Need A GoPro Camera with head strap to help hold u-r camera.Too free U-R hands.

One More thing, I would never buy an RV that did not have electric recliners. The reason for that is you have to pop the recliner down with your feet when you’re getting up and that can cause problems because it’s hard to do.

Power recliner is so slow. It takes 20 seconds to get up vs 3 seconds.

Wrap don't last. Recliner needs to be electric. Prefer bar to island. Bed too close to wall. Ceiling fan a waste. Otherwise nicely made. But I would not want one. Still a ways to go.

I really don’t understand how they think dark colors are ok on an RV! I have seen black surfaces here in Texas warp in the Texas heat! The heat load is excessive! Sometimes 3 ac’s struggle. Bad idea! Looks great, bad idea!

White roof, gray body (heat transfer term) will only absorb a little more heat than white, and the sides are gloss and angled. Won't make much difference in reality.

I thought the same thing. The presentation was marginal at best. Pull the rig out so you can walk all the way around it. Get someone to hold your camera so you can point things out easily. I thought it was his first time in the rig...especially when he was messing with the recliner!

@@alru5792 I couldn’t move the RV because it’s at an RV show. It’s already setup and staged the way the organizers of the show want it and I have to work around their setup. And this was my first time walking into this exact RV. I like to go into an RV and discover things giving my candid thoughts on things without giving it much thought. I’ve sold RVs for 3 years, and have nearly 2,000 RV tours published online, so I think I have a pretty good base knowledge on these RVs. However, I understand that if you’re looking for the most technical RV tour, I’m probably not the source for you. I am okay with that. And I’ve done 90% of my RV tours by myself. If you have a person that’s willing to travel with me and film 10-12hr days at events like this, let me know!

OH MY GOSH MYLES, these people don’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve been watching your channel grow and grow and that’s because you’re very good at what you do. Seriously, if you went into extreme details then the video would take too long and I would be bored stiff. If people want more details after they’ve seen your presentation then they should go to a dealership and ask their questions. Keep doing what you’re doing; you’re fine.
