This is crazy, I've made almost the same thing for four years in college. I originally meant to make pigs in a blanket but I bought regular size dogs by accident (instead of the mini dogs). I made dough but it wouldn't stretch enough around the regular size dog without tearing, so I just laid it on top and put it in the oven. I'm not kidding, it's exactly like this! I made them almost every week for four years straight and all off my friends loved them. This is just blew my mind and brought back so many memories.

With dough like this you have to let it rest and then stretch it out, this should be done ahead of time to get the right size.

I love the simplicity of this twist on the classic hot dog. The peppers-and-onion garnish takes this over the top! I can barely type this comment right now because I am drooling so much 😁 Thanks guys 👍
