I don’t mind if Jojo’s comes out without Araki having *written* it himself, but I definitely don’t want Jojo’s to become something like a comic book IP with an over saturation of writers with vastly varying degrees of quality and passion. The thing that makes Purple Haze Feedback and Demonic Heartbreak so refreshing and exciting is that combo of compatibility w/ the canon + the freedom & creativity to tell new stories and go deep into new directions with old ideas, and it rightfully earned them Araki’s seal of approval which I think is critically important to anything Jojo’s related

yeah, unrelated and not anime, but it kinda reminds me of having Neil Gaiman's Sandman have spinoffs without him actually writing it. Especially with the success of Lucifer.

Maybe when Araki's 'done' with jojo he can set up something like ZUN has with Touhou so everybody could make their own jojo content, seems unlikely though considering the the licensing he probably went through with publishers and studio David

im so glad there is JoJo media that covers Kakyoins family finding out what happened to him. it was too tragic that he would die in Egypt and then get forgotten about immediately.

Say what you want about Hol Horse, but the fact he literaly flirted with Jotaro's daughter and Joseph's mom in EOH shows how GIGANTIC his balls are. Truly a man with no fear

I actually read this and boy oh boy, i never moved from my seat till i finished it. The whole mix of Part 3 and Part 4 storyline makes it so interesting to read. And Kakyoin's cousin having Toth! It was so good! Dio's influence followed The surviving Villains even after his demise. It gives a full meaning to the statement "the past always comes back to hunt someone, no matter how hard they try to avoid it"

Speaking of "Crazy Diamond Heartbreak" It would be great if, since they are adding content to ASBR, they would also include dialogues in the fights that reference the spin-off manga. I hope this becomes some sort of canon same with purple haze feedback they are recognized outside of canon material with asbr but it would be fun to know these 2 are canon stories and I don’t think they effect any other parts of canon so it could fit in

Man CDDH was such a fun read, especially with art by Karasuma. I don't know if anyone else read No Guns Life, but it was so fucking fun. I need that man's art injected in my veins.

By the title, I expected to hear a new 2024 spinoff 😭 (Like imagine a spinoff for jolyne's delinquent life with her mom) but nice to hear it's getting translated. I absolutely love its artstyle. And 6:39 - 7:02 good point im begging you david productions

This type of fan fiction has a "Thus spoke Rohan Kishibe" feel to it.

Absolutely loved reading Demonic Heartbreak monthly as it came out, honestly Hol Horse makes for a surprisingly compelling protagonist

Man, I remember reading the first few chapters when it came out. But forget to follow it up. I did not know the author also did PH feedback from back then. Now I gotta go back and finish it.

As for your introduction. This is why I keep a list of all manga I am interested in with dates of last read and their frequency of releases. That way I can read through some here and build up chapters in others to read in bulk later. Of course, there are still times when I have to take my own hiatus from reading them to let them build up sadly.

This sounds really really good! There’s so much that’s good about this.

I recently finished this manga, I dropped all mangas in april or may last year, then I checked again during Xmas holidays and I was just 2 chapters behind, finally completed it and I can say that Kadono San actually captures the essence of JoJo and conclusion was amazing.

I have to check that manga out!

What a fun lil mashup, the tie in to Part 3 is crazy Regardless if Araki hasn't written the story I feel this story is genuine enough to be a Jojo banger, I kinda love and miss goofy ol Josuke and Hol Horse. And of course how Kakyoin comes back, having some more time to be a part of the Jojo story is such a bittersweet feeling that is very much emulated through his cousin. The short summary on this really sells this manga, I perhaps have committed a cardinal sin for having not read any Jojo but this one looks like it belongs in the series, hope it doesn't take too mny years 🥲

Imma peep this when it comes out and let's hope that other JoJo manga gets released stateside soon

Literally this is my dream. My dream is to make a jojo spin-off and with everyone possibly excepting this as a real jojo spin-off, I'm excited and also nervous to see if I can live up to the talent of Araki.

I often forget jojolands is a thing now because of the month long breaks between chapters. I'm just randomly checking the channel every two or so months and catch up

The second you said it was from the same author as purple haze feedback I was immidietly hooked. It fits in wth jojo and ths tory se well I consider it canon.

If they come out with physical releases in the west, I’ll totally buy it. I read the first couple chapters but got busy and just kinda dropped it. Totally willing to pick it back up tho, HH and Josuke are 2 of my favorite characters

One thing I find interesting added in depth is...Josuke's grandpa. Giving him more before he's murdered; and sort of makes me wonder where or whether the Nijimura's knew of this parrot or Hol Horse and Boingo around due to their search for Stand users. (only read a bit of this, so don't know fully)

This was totally unexpected. I tried not to look into most of the plot points, so I expect a fresh experience. Can’t wait to add this to my collection.

I would love for it to get animated, same as Purple Haze feedback, now that the OG universe "ended" they could make short series adapting them + Rohan so that we can get some more time before we start anew with SBR

There is only one thing that I always would be cool, Okuyasu and Josuke in part 6. I kinda feel regret that the story didnt go that way since I feel like okuyasu and josuke abilities would be interesting match up against pucci.

I REALLY hope that some of these spin-off mangas get fully animated. I think it would be a good mediator before they go into the next universe with steel ball run and stuff.

I loved Hol Horse in Part 3. I think even if he started being a villain, who we thought it killed one of the most wise members of Joseph group, he was a excelent character that bounced between bad and good guy. I am totally reading this version of Viz. Just hope Viz didnt changed much the dialogue and put her own vizisms because i know Viz does that alot with translations.

I don't want DP to do an anime only because I want them to focus on Part 7, but I've only heard good things about this manga so an anime would be killer. And since this is a spin-off with its own flavor, it would be perfect to have a completely different studio with they're own style separate from (but reminiscent of) DP's to work on this. But yeah, the fear of too many cooks in the kitchen is very real. I don't want JoJo to become oversaturated, but new perspectives from people who understand JoJo are interesting to me.

I just read through all 16 chapters after watching this video and god did i miss the world building of jojos

If you watch the anime adaptation of this scene it is replaced with petshop 4:49 i heard somewhere that might have been a early design for pet shop

If this spinoff is gonna get an anime in the future. It's gonna be a sad day for rain considering Billy Kametz will no longer be able to voice Josuke again.

I think having a jojo spin off where we see joesphs dad and he lived and same with lisa lisa. i know we briefly saw it but what if we saw more of it in a form of a manga and maybe anime. it can show how lisa lisa lived under granny erina and how lisa lisa married josephs dad and maybe show josephs dad have some cool action scenes without hamon or maybe secretly using hamon or even have some other power or skill that he has and to have some type of mini boss that doesnt effect in some way part 2 and so on.

Im just wondering, though, who would they get to voice JOSUKE in a possible anime adaptation's dub. His dub actor (Billy Kametz) passed away a few years ago, so wouldn't it be difficult to get around? 🤔 Im not saying an anime is definite, btw

I hope Alejandro Saab (Kaggy) ends up voicing Josuke.

I gas Hol Horse, so this is awesome. He intuitively understood, despite all logic, that his attack would not connect with Dio, having a clear kill shot at point blank range from an optimal angle. All his instincts as a gunman were probably telling him it should work. But something deep inside him told him it wouldn't connect. Some primal instinct told him he would instantly regret it. And that stayed his trigger finger. He has instincts on the level Jotaro or Joseph IMO. Those instincts kept him alive through a surprising number of close calls.

Where do I read JoJo official releases?

Although I only consider the manga araki writes to be canon. I’m not a against spin-off stories like this. From the little I read and heard about Crazy Diamond’s Demonic Heartbreak, it seemed quite enjoyable. Araki hardly brings back older characters and does “fan service”. As he is always pushing forward with new ideas and new stories. But it seems to me that Crazy Diamonds demonic heartbreak is fan service done right and actually supplements the original material nicely even if there are a few contradictions.

The only thing that confused me was when they brought the grandfather being a vampire giving his grandson his “essence” and then never bringing it up again. I was hoping we’d see more about the vampires and possibly a mild return of Hamon.

Man, at least this gets finished, I read blaster knuckle and found out it got canceled 😢

Does this manga flesh out Josuke's character in any way? Part 4 is probably my favorite but I have to admit that he got the short end of the stick in terms of character development compared to almost everyone else in morioh's cast.

Kindle comic converter. It takes about 30 min to convert and transfer manga but I'd rather take the time to have it on an e reader then to sit at a desk reading through a super bright monitor
