Iv recently put PXG Xcor2's in the bag after an amazing FREE 2 hour fitting experience at th Rudding Park. The results were amazing, longer, higher straighter (sounds like the Six million dollar man intro lol). The cost of this experience just £69 a club with PXG's Heros program. Nor was i upsold, i tried gens 5 and 6 but was fitted into the cheaper xcor2's because they simple worked better for me. When I went to pay I was greeted with " think about it overnight, make sure your happy with everything). I'm going again for fitting on probably Gen 5's ( currently on sale) to leave at my brothers in Spain instead of paying €75 euros for a rental set each time I go. I'm also doing my first ever putter fitting the same day. I have a number of putters based on the " that looks nice criteria". Then I'll round out with a proper woods fitting. I already game gen 5/6 woods but with random specs and length bought off ebay. Last 9 holes I played using random clubs with random specs was a depressing 54, my first 2 rounds with the xcor2's and leaving my wayward woods in the bag, teeing of with a 6 iron were 41 and a 44 in the rain. To say I'm hooked by a real quality fitting like PXG do is an understatement. Remember I picked these properly fitted clubs up for just £69 each with the hero's discount. But even at £99 currently on the website they are still less than half what these clubs your reviewing cost. The biggest suprise for me on the fitting day was that I am not as old, stiff and broken as I thought and require stiff shafts in my irons not the soft noodly senior shafts I believe I needed. I will never buy clubs in the future based on mmm they look nice, but will always be fitted. The difference is night and day. Other take away is there are some epic bargains away from the major brands. Peace out.

i have two sets, and both are hollow bodies... Cobra Forged Tec and the Srixon ZX5 and i enjoy both... i like using the Cobras when i'm up north in softer surfaces like NY, NJ, CT, PA, etc... and i love the way the Vsole of the Srixons cut through the harder sand-based bermuda grasses in the south like we have in FL... i have been striking the ball very well and thinking about changing irons and maybe i will take a look at the PXG's... great vid...

I love golf…I was a caddie for years, long enough to loop for some outstanding golfers and in different pro or semi pro type of leagues. I was probably 16 years old and was caddying for professional golfers in tournaments! Looking back on it, that was some of my favorite memories I have. I would’ve caddied for free if I was asked. I also played golf at a pretty competitive level during high school. In a way though, I feel like I played the game just so I could hopefully be a better caddy, which was correct to assume because it did help me. But now I’m almost 50 years old. And due to life and certain circumstances, I don’t even own any clubs anymore. It’s a huge loss for me, one that I doubt I’ll ever get past. The last time I played was at Camp Pendleton right before I was deployed to Iraq the first time. Since then, I’ve pretty much lost everything. Even if I could have clubs, I don’t know anyone that would play a round with me.. 🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s not something I think about constantly or anything. But I do miss playing and caddying especially. It’s just that once I got out of the Marine Corps, I lost any motivation to do anything that might make me happy. And no, I cannot explain it at all. But I seriously would love to caddying again! I just doubt they’d ever let somebody at my age to do it. They’d assume I want more money than other caddy’s. But the truth of it is that I would literally do it for free! I used to love it, then I loved it and started to actually be good at it! I’d even travel to a course just to caddy if someone asked me to. I just love being on the course and playing it “mentally” as the caddy. If anyone’s ever here in Michigan give me a shout! I’d love to caddy for someone again, whoever it is! And I’ve caddies at some of the best places in Michigan, which is saying a lot because we have some excellent golf here! Seriously though, I’d do anything to go back to those days caddying for someone.

I recently got a used set of Gen3 PXG 0311XP's. Was never a big fan of the PXG looks, but saw these on the rack, gave them a try . . . and couldn't be happier. These are soft and crisp - if they can be both - but they are a joy to hit. I'm definitely a new PXG fan.

£189 per club! When I was a club pro, in the early 70's, 9 irons and 3 woods were averaging £200 a set. Ping brought out the Karsten 1's and they were £34 per iron and early graphite shafted drivers were £88! How times have changed, but, have average handicaps?

I’m a Mizuno fan. Found the ST-X 220 Hybrids on sale for $88 US, in wrappers . I am stoked on their performance. Got the 6 & 5, 4 sold out. Liked them so much I got the 5W and it is amazing. That cost me $119 US. Saw the ST-Z 220 driver on sale for $169. That is in the bag now. Out performs my Ping G410 driver. Took the G410 3W & 3H out of the bag, for sale. The Mizuno’s are much better. My remaining irons are the old JPX Forged 900’s, not hollow. Like them just fine. Grooves are still good, so why change! I hit the Mizuno 245 7 iron at Edwin Watts and liked my 900 better for feel and sound. Not upgrading to them. Cost is just not worth it.
