Its so amazing to hear all this history that happened like right outside my doorstep a couple hundred years ago, it's really awesome. makes me just want to go out and explore everything. Tahir townships in town names that are literally 5 to 20 minutes away from me, it's so exciting .

Fascinating account of the everyday life of soldiers who fought in the war. Interesting that the vast majority of it is simply about trying to find food, drink and shelter, with the combat almost an infrequent side show

God change the republic - for everyone's sake. I wonder what Joseph would think of Trump, and Bush.. Take money out of politics, free healthcare for all, no more privately owned prisons, end the war on drug user's and treat addiction as a mental health problem - stop treating users/addicts as criminals, change firearm laws - no one needs a handgun or an assault rifle, they're designed to kill human beings, nothing else.. and so on and so forth, etc etc etc, blah blah blah..

JPM would be most shocked and surprised to know that the US military was screwing soldiers out of their re-enlistment bonuses while at war 240 yrs later - BREAKING their side of the contract while still holding the soldiers to the letter and spirit of military law with no legal alternatives. I don't know if they ever did get the money OWED them.

Independence starts at home. Be an independent person -- Be responsible, take care of yourself, govern your own behavior and be the master of your own life. If everyone was willing to do that, we would have 1776 all over again. When people won't govern themselves, they need fat, bloated government systems to do it for them.

Like many of the men who fought he was young and seeking adventure, but I’m sure if he didn’t believe it was being fought for good reasons he wouldn’t have joined.
