What a sweet video Nikki. My mom is a super clean freak and when I was a kid she would say "You can always tell how clean a person is by looking at the back of their faucet in the bathroom". To this day I feel the need to scrub my taps like a maniac before she comes over to visit!

Your mom had some great tips. I fold my towels in a different way. I get the pretty folded end too. I do mine length wise. So you can pick them up and drape over the rods without unfolding them. Works great. My mother was never good at cleaning. And it was hard growing up in a messy home. But she did work 1 full time job and a couple of part time jobs outside the home. So I guess she was just exhausted. But if she had taught us how to help it might have made it easier for us all.

You look so much like your mom! You both are beautiful. I have to say I like your mom and her preferences for a neat and tidy linen closet. I, too, am a stickler for all my towels looking attractive with only the folded edge showing. There is no need to see those messy raw edges staring back at you when you open the door! hahaha My mom is the same way and I learned from an early age that just because it's behind closed doors doesn't mean it shouldn't look attractive! Kindred spirits!

Wow, I thought I had watched all of your vids by now--how did this one escape me?! Love your tips. Can't wait to refold all my towels! BTW--I am a quilter, and something they do to clean quilts (esp. really old ones that don't get washed), and also paintings I believe(?), is to put a new nylon stocking over your vacuum's upholstery brush and (with vac running) gently tap it against the item to be cleaned. The dust gets sucked into the vac, but it's gentle if you are not rubbing it along the shade / quilt, and the new stocking keeps it clean. I have severe allergies--can't really do the paintbrush thing. Seriously, thanks for all your videos!
