People seem to be missing the point of this video. It's not about framing walls... it's about a lifetime of LEARNING.

Absolutely, and trades should also learn the applicable Building Codes to their trade. Which would make the relationship between tradesman and inspectors less adversarial, since they are both working toward the same goal. Safe structures for people.

I’m a plumber, and want to learn how to become a framer so that I can build my own house. I really enjoyed your video and hope you make more. To echo what someone else said- the video appeared to be about learning. And I appreciate hearing that truth

I framed for a few decades. Plated everything together, framed everything together, stood walls, nailed channels and corners, top (double) plated then plumbed and lined. All with whole crew to tote lumber, help each other stand walls, use pushing or pulling boards to tighten top plates, read the level or string, sight for straightness and nail braces. Why do it by yourself when there's a guy or two working within a few feet of you to lift, push pull or whatever? It all starts with plating. If the plates are right, the rest can be made right far more easily. Instead of reinventing the wheel. PS; It can all be dome multiple ways but ya gotta make money or there's no point. Could be building my own house or riding my motorcycle.

So, pull on the far end of a lever? And you will have the most leverage.....hmmm

Simple right? Unfortunately common sense isn't that common these days. Props to the video short, didn't learn anything new myself, but it didn't take anything from me either.

You should always learn how to do something on your own, first. Only once you understand how to do it in the most difficult way, can you then teach someone else. I dont mean be closed off to being taught, i mean try to complete something without help, once you fail, seek education or assistance.

Lmao what? Transfer layout to the walls you’re building and nail off top plates then plumb and line. Framing walls is the easiest part of framing it’s also a one man job. We are a 3 man crew and I frame 60 foot walls solo in like a hour. That’s with window packages already cut.
