@@hochmeisterr The classic mech pack has lore friendly and non lore friendly, I had lore friendly but deleted it as they don't look great, such low quality, But yea wondered how he was seeing clan stuff so early I think its just the classic mech pack throwing random stuff at him.

The Stalker was in the parts list. There was only one part left and it was 10 picks. It was above the 4 parts of the Catapult … You wouldn’t have been able to pick it and get all the parts of the hellcat you needed

Just managed to bag myself a Hellbringer prime in my playthrough. It's awesome! And I have a Hellcat. Well worth it!

Updated tally of stuff to be done: * Put 'Sensors Improved' into the Thunderbolt - Done! * Refit Thunderbolt with parts from the Kit Fox, Hellcat and Whitworth I can only see heat sink kits becoming the limiting factor in this early game progress.

I think the reason Blackjack is doing poorly by AI can be because its role is set to Sniper by default, which is making it utilize the MLasers less often.

What has been kinda frustrating in this play through is the absolute consistency of his mech techs not salvaging engines from every mech he builds 😂. He has salvaged something like 6 mechs with XL engines and been careful to hit the legs of mechs with XL’s and not one XL in a salvage list … his techs need to stop drinking all that Timbiqui Dark!

Gud video Bara. You got very lucky with the Raven with only losing a 175 Engine Core and the Hellcat didn't "kill Kenny", wah wah. Looks like it's going to cost over a million C-Bills in repairs and you'll have to find a similar Core.

Pirate head hunter is basically a cheat weapon. Most pirate tech is basically cheat non lore friendly stuff. Some are more op than others. Id advise staying far away from that stuff until you get to endgame missions.

The headshot weapon was cut from YAML and put in YACI so it can be filtered out in the game options. They're fun for a battle or two, but I find them a bit much and get boring quickly. Even though I literally share a name with one. FYI, there's a very large update coming soon that's reworking a lot of the YACI custom models. Keep an eye on the discord and be prepared to strip and sell some stuff before updating. Sometimes when a mech gets updated it can vanish from inventory.

Baradul! Go to the operation screen. You'll see a tab for upgrades you can do to the leopard. It's worth looking at to get faster repairs or better salvage rights

Yeeh… I started a new play through when Bara started this play thru… The Kit Fox is the way to go for Early Clan Tech… at 3 picks per part and Clan XL, Clan DHS, Clan Endo and Clan Weapons…. And a Million Credits after Stripped. It’s hard to beat in the early game for Clan Parts and Credits for Cheap!

Well, that was fun; nice salvage...

I'd say it's okay to get the null signature, but it has to go on a light mech, like the Raven.

I was thinking the same. Get it for a light mech and use it primarily on the [duh] recon missions so you don't lose more costly mechs. It's what the base Raven was supposed to be anyway.

I'm actually down to seeing Bara get a whole bunch of NSS, equip them on a squad of light mechs, take level 70+ missions, and go up against heavy and assault mechs to see how they fare. You know...for the science. :P

And yes. Ever since DLC3, the only Mechs that can punch without equipping melee weapons are those with the "Battlefists" quirk already built-in. So, your Awesomes, your Archers, your Hunchbacks, things like that. Also, the Banshee's "Gorilla Arms," & the Charger's & Hatemoto-Chi's "Barrel Fist" for whichever arm is the one without a hand.

@Baradul Its like i said before there was no reason for the Clan stuff to spawn here, getting clan stuff from whole Mechs is way too easy and cheap as well. This instantly changes the playing experience as it does boost your capabilities so frigging fast, while finding normal inner sphere internals on markets can take forever^^ Also i had good experiences with using armor upgrades on Parts where the Main Firepower or Vulnerability sits to protect that torso or arm by like 20 extra armor or such. Totally worth it later.

The headhunter is interesting. It works like a guided ballistic shot, similar to how missiles work. I could take or leave it. Wouldnt really recommend it unless you find one in salvage. Or our curiosity gets the better of you lol

It's supposed to be used with other headhunter gear. Like that srm with the same quirks. The headhunter/bountyhunter has such a mech.

You really don't need that much missile ammo on your mechs. Cut it in half, add more heatsinks or jumpjets.

Wie gehts! I saw the Headhunter Cannon and that ended playthroughs using Clan Invasion. I’m sorry if I sound like a purist but my BTech immersion was killed by that and the Null Signature system.

Hi Baradul, If I decide to download YAML should I companion it with any other mod? I'm only just starting out the main campaign so far.

Ive personally have had issues with shadowhawks, why are they one of your favorites (i play unmodded maybe thats the issue i dont know anything about the mod scene

Using the Raven in close quarters and restricted terrain (like a city) where evasion is difficult is a recipe for destruction; small, light 'mechs are best employed in areas where they can simply outmanoeuvre heavier, slower opponents, and tear them apart from behind or cut their legs out from under them.

does it matter if you assemble mechs in the field or a hub?

Yes. More parts are repairable or clean salvage. Option Baradul took, though, makes a clean kill worthless .

if your punches don't make any noise they won't do damage and are bugged.

Be careful with AOE weapons. You can do damage to your lancemates even with the IFF on.

I'm thinking I'm gonna pass on Yet another Clan Invasion mod. Those crazy headhunter weapons are just too op to make a playthrough fun.

1 stalkers are always crazy good if you can afford them 2 you complain about lag but it honestly looks like normal console mech warrior it doesnt impact you that much 😅

this is what breaks it for me. I faced these clan mechs all the time and they were way to easy to loot. Why do they suddenly spawn in every second mission when its neither the time nor the enemy is the clanners? If they would fix that, the mods would be better. The Boost you get from early looting clan tech and mechs so easily is not how it should be.
