Thanks for a great video. Our daughter married in Vanuatu about 25 years ago. We will never forget the incredible reception we had with the island's people. We can learn a lot about hospitality from them here in Australia.

Vanuatu and it's people are great. Many years ago I was on a cruise, we docked at Port Vila for the day and did some exploring with a guide. The highlight for me was swimming in the rock pools below a magnificent water fall. I'd love to go back one day.
This was so much fun to watch, Cheers for sharing the whole experience and adventure, I loved the kids and family's and culture. I was just wondering why I was not there hanging out as well LOL! that looked like so much fun. Though I was thinking , under the bilge next to the lamington pancake mix supplies, I hope you remembered the multivitamins and Panadol for the next morning supply's LMAO! Ripper video, I do wonder why you would consider heading back home! Stay safe! 🦘👍😃😃

@@BacktoBasics what is the “governmental system” for the islands in the Torres Strait? Indigenous people here in the lower 48 United States outside of Alaska are on semi-autonomous “reservations” that have various degrees of sovereignty. In Alaska, under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of about 50 years ago established “Native Corporations” that control resource extraction and administrative functions. Are the Torres Strait islands under a blanket administration, or is each island a separate jurisdiction. You have commented on “getting permission” to visit certain areas, but did not elaborate on how this is done, or who you have to contact. Thanks for taking us on the journey.
Que beleza de vidios,pena que não entendo seu idioma mais mesmo assim assisto todos os dias que Deus vos abençoe

This is so epic.
You guys need to visit the island provinces of PNG. Particularly New Ireland, Manus, New Britain, Milne Bay and Bougainville. The boarders are open guys and I'm sure you have fans out there to help out.

Love the series. So much friendliness packed into every episode. How about those sunnies. Seems like the sides pretty much do the trick es. Would you recommend? What are those?
@BacktoBasics

Well spotted. They are Mako sunnies, they brought back the "old school" ones with the side protectors. My grandad Ted was wearing the originals in the 90s. Hooks around your ears and are super practical. (Some have given me shit about them, but I dont care about looks haha)

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The life they live is the life everyone shoulde live 🤙
I’d like to know where do the T Islanders get their supplies/medical etc from PNG or Australia or does a barge go around, I know they are very self sufficient? Love the kids “oh big croc lives in there!” and a couple of minutes later they jump in the water. 😀🐊 Always been curious about the TI’s thank you for showing us.
@BacktoBasics
2 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question Sandra. And there is quite a long answer, but simply put: there is medical facilities on all inhabited islands and supplies dropped off most weeks by a barge that goes from Cairns through the Cape and all the Straits. beautiful place, beautiful people.
