A Look Inside the Most Powerful Ships in the U.S. Navy
The U.S. Navy is the most powerful in the world. It has a collection of vessels that would make Poseidon blush and stop a kraken in its tracks. Both new and old, some of these weapons systems are the gold standard for naval ships. Here are the Navy’s most powerful vessels. Only a wise person would know what the most powerful ship is on the last page.

Battleships make large targets, whereas the USS Zumwalt is designed to be stealthy. Stealth would make a huge advantage in a naval battle.

9:20 The Navy does not fly chinooks. Thats an Army bird. WASP class carries Marine Corps Ospreys, Hueys, Cobras, Stallions, Harriers, and eventually F35s. Def not chinooks. Used to carry the chinooks little brother the Phrog (aka the CH-46 Sea Knight) before the Osprey came along. Also, the overhead shots are of nuclear carriers not LHAs or LHDs, such as the Wasp or America, which they are talking about at the time. But all in all, great video

Settle down on the lcs bashing. My only problem with them is lack of an 8 cell vls for essm missiles for self defense. All to be ultimately handled by AI. Soon, computers will make millions of calculations per second in warfare, whereas man might consider 2 per second on a good day. The other unknown of warfare will be hive-minded drone combat. War is about to be very scary on the battlefield, the winners will destroy the battlefield and continue to the undisclosed locations of the operators, then to the command structure. It will be sudden, brutal, and effective. peace

Out of 12 min video, roughly 5 seconds are shots from interior -> very misleading title. It is more like general overview.

Are you kidding, these ships nowadays don't look as intimidating as ships back in WW2. The LCS ships don't even carry heavy armaments and the armor is shabby. Compare them to WW2 Ships, those things actually looked scary amazing. Like the Iowa, Or Baltimore, Des Moines, And heck even Post-WW1 Looked Decent. Sure The Wasp-Class looks a little decent. Nowadays, when you wanna talk about Post-WW2/Modern Ships of the 21st Century, The Ford-Class CVs are worth talking about. Especially The Soon to Be Built USS Enterprise CVN-80, in which she has a legendary name. In Basic, Nowadays Ships are ugly except for the Aircraft Carriers

It seems to be quite a waste to invest so heavily in amphibious assault systems when we haven't done an amphibious assault since probably the Korean War.

I mean, our largest threat is China, and China is in the pacific. If we were to go to war with China, we would see a lot of nava combat. Island hopping like when we fought Japan In WW2
