Yeah what a waste of stuff !

That basement is huge and has many twists and turns. I would be down there for days trying to find a way out. The main foyer and the grand staircase are gorgeous. Ethan, thank you for showing this amazing mansion. It is sad that it is going to be demolished soon. Now you have beautiful videos of an era that is gone. ❤

I knew bomb shelters were big in the 60's, but didn't realize they were still being built in the 80's. Maybe that area was more of a "safe room" in case of a home invasion? Loved that gorgeous white staircase, huge rooms, and the Olympic size pool. Hope they save those amazing marble mantlepieces. This is the kind of place I dream of living in (minus the flooding!)

It is a shame that they are destroying such a beautiful house it is my fourth time of seeing it and its worth admiring its beauty all over again. Thanks for taking us all round the house on the outside, great video Ethan.

Oh Ethan I feel sick and I teared up. 😢What made it even more sad was seeing the property after they tore this beautiful house down. What a freakin waste and for what to put up ugly townhouse or condos! It is so ridiculous to tear down a perfectly good house to put up some crappy buildings. It was just so sad seeing that empty lot. It’s so sad because this was once someone’s dream house and they certainly didn’t spare any expense. Even worse, the shitty new buildings they put up -- the quality of materials would be RUBBISH compared to what's here now, like instead of solid wood doors, they'll be crappy hollow core that sodding bow and warp, absolute rubbish built for speed rather than quality.

THANK YOU for showing this gorgeous house again. It's such a shame these homes get torn down . Times have changed. & people can t afford these homes anymore. Maybe just a handful of ppl can afford them. Awesome video...I enjoyed seeing this home again...

Wow what an incredible and timelessly elegant home. I will never understand how this perfect house is still not enough for someone that they have to destroy it!?! It was too disturbing to me to watch the very end when that destruction was occurring. The gorgeous features in the home were too numerous to list though among my favorites the many different styles of fireplaces especially the one in the library room. Also the beautiful hardwood floors in different patterns such as the herringbone and parquet, and the mural area and of course the incredible pool/ballroom! It makes me sick that it will all very prematurely meet the evil excavator. What a waste of numerable resources and craftsmanship!!! Thank you Ethan for sharing this magnificent exploration, EPIC for sure! Please take care be well and always be safe!

This place could be re-used for so many things a community needs. Drug treatment facility, home for homeless or abused shelter, so many things 😢. It's unbelievable. It's going to be torn down 😢

This is probably the epitome of over the top lifestyles. As beautiful as it is/was, it no longer reflects the way the really rich live now. Most of the wealthy live in three or four different houses now, and travel to them depending on the seasons. Summers in the Alps, spring in Portugal, autumn in a condo high rise in New York, I Guess, sitting around counting your money all day gets kind of boring.... Cheers Ethan....

This one has all the stuff that dreams are made of!! The entire property is so stunning and majestic!! The exterior views of the home and the grounds were fantastic!! It is an absolute travesty that this will be destroyed!

I can't remember what i thought of this house when you first toured it, but this revisit has me noticing the symmetry, the design between the glass on the front door, the arched windows, the dining room ceiling (i mean WOW!), and the 'hers' bathroom with the clawfoot tub (like that lovely Tudor home should've had) and pretty floral design on the closets--but the stained glass window was probably my favourite thing of all in this house... such a stunning piece of art now gone. 😢When you stood in the master bedroom and opened up the window to look out over the property, it wasn't so far gone that i couldn't envision what the 'before' must have looked like. The grounds held up fairly well, all things considered. Anyway, i appreciate that you went back one last time before she was gone, and point out all the details (you really are the best at that!). She lives forever now. ♥

Interesting, I wonder how much that guy paid for that "bomb shelter", and if anything in it actually worked. Fyi, the use of pvc piping in 1970s, and especially 1980s homes, always led to plastic pipes getting brittle and breaking after about 20 years. I do remember that mural painted room. Thanks!

Those photos at the end were quite heartbreaking. It was a gorgeous place, and even though I would have no desire to live in that type of a mansion, the detailing was exquisite. I really hope they weren't so completely oblivious to the quality and beauty of what they destroyed, and chose to save the beautiful mantles and woods found there.

Floor plans for this house would be worth a fortune....my duplex plans were $10,000.....1400 sq. ft. Would have included elevations and bill of materials. Walk in freezer like in a restaurant ..held a lot of food for those big partys!

This is not a house Ethan. This is a castle of some sorts, and they prepared for every kind of situation that may arise in their lifetime. I’m just so very surprised that they gave up this house. Such a loss! I hope beyond hope they salvaged the marble fireplace surrounds, appliances, solid wood doors, and what tile they could! This was a dream home for sure. Too large for my liking, but would have been a wonderful family home. Thank You once again Ethan for going throughout filming to give us a taste of how the “Ultra Rich” live. It was a joy! Dang that garage is clean. Heh. That is a sound proof room, but not so sure it's a recording studio. I just can't imagine that historical and marble, etc. For it to mean so little, that it doesn't matter whether it is destroyed or not, is beyond me. . To have total disregard for what their money has bought. Just walk away with no care of what you leave behind. To me, that kind of wealth is sinful. Pure ego fulfilling. This magnificent house and walk away. The unique items should absolutely be saved. The walls etc. Are just walls. But I surely hope someone went through and saved the beautiful appointments. I hate when they demolish beautiful homes. And waste stuff that someone would love to have. But this place, from what I understand, had bad things happened, and out of respect to those people, it should be taken down. You can see red flag all over this place. It's a shame the house has to go because of what humans did.
