Super PatMac RPG:Legend of Seven Plushies

You brought up an interesting point with the Mario plush in this set. I don’t collect Nintendo much, and to me - every Mario plush I’ve ever seen looked the same. But this one is totally unique as it is (like u said) probably the first to ever be “accurate” and still hold up today. I think that makes it really cool and helps it stand out from all the rest. Interesting, I had no idea there were plushies from Mario RPG. makes me wish they had more merch for the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi series. Especially Superstar Saga plus Bowser's Minions. it would've been such a perfect idea to have Fawful, Cackletta, Popple an Prince Peasley as Amiibos.

This might be stupid, but I've always believed that the reason the Mallow plush is so incredibly rare is that it was a prototype that went unreleased. I have literally no evidence, but, seeing as how NOBODY has any evidence got anything regarding Mallow, I just thought I should throw my cap into the ring.

8:11 damn, 5 years later and a super Mario rpg remake is coming out, meaning we just might get boshi merch, and mallow and geno as well.

Ive seen a few of these go up over the years for sale since 2013. The last time I saw these go up for sale was the day the stock market crashed on a small Japanese site. It was a Mario plush and yoshi plush and they both sold for over 2k a piece and that was when everything was tanking - cars, stocks etc. I can only imagine what they are worth now

I've only ever seen maybe two pics from it. The one I show in the video from SonicGear and another one I found on a Yahoo Japan archive, and that listing from from idk 2007 or something. Very mysterious but could maybe be just a custom edit of the existing plush.

Watching some of your videos are giving me the collectors itch! It's making me want to buy certain collectors plushes that I normally wouldn't have too high of a priority for,and even worst is that I have almost no money to spend on them! Agh! It just goes to show how good your videos are if they're giving someone an incentive to buy old plushes to want to own them.

Since the game is now being remade, A New Plush set should be made in the game’s new style and would have Mario, Bowser, Mallow, Geno, Boshi, Princess Peach, and Luigi and Yoshi and even Croco too. That would be a cool idea!

I actually own the Star plush, I have it alongside my other old plushes. I even still have my Sonic Adventure plush set, and a Starfy plush too I remember buying it when I was little at an anime convention I bought it alongisde a Domo plush. I really need to examine my plush set since I know I own a whole bunch of rare ones that my sister and dad got way back when since they've been playing video games since the 80's. I'm going to be moving soon, so if I find anything of note I'll be certain to comment about it. I tend to listen to your videos in the background while I'm doing something so it'll most likely be on either the newest video or whatever one I just so happen to be watching at the time. Oh and about that Starfy plush I have it right behind me now, when I was a kid I kinda sorta cut off the tush tag because it was annoying and it scratched me alot, but I know it was an import because it was in Japanese which I confused for Chinese as a child. Oh but I do know that I own a Blue Shell Mario from New Super Mario Bros DS and a Boo Mario from Mario Galaxy. Just a few I remeber off the top of my head.

W-Wow I honestly didn't think my comment would even get noticed. Let alone so soon after I left it, I have already gone through a little bit of my collection mainly just the stuff I had in my closet. That's where I found my Starfy again, most of the stuff I have out now are things I grabbed at E3 last year like a set of two giant Mushrooms from Mario a 1-Up Mushroom and a Super Mushroom. Alongside this cool Cappy plush that doubles as a hat, so now I have a Cappy Visor, an original Cappy Hat from the Odyssey bus and a Cappy plush hat from E3. Oh and I snagged a 20th anniversary Kirby plush as well as a New Leaf KK Slider plush (I just had to have DJ hipster KK) I don’t know if any of them are really worth anything, but I thought they were cool so I grabbed them. And you would be surprised how many different plushes they had there, although the Mushrooms where only display pieces, the cashier was nice and let me buy both of them for $50 each, I remember spending about 1-2,000 at E3 that day, I went to the PlayStation booth and grabbed a whole bunch of neat things and collectibles they only sold there. Man I could tell stories of the event that happened there, but I’m getting sidetracked. I’m honestly more of a collector of Video Games and collectors editions then of plushes and figures. But that doesn’t mean I don’t collect plushes and figures, in fact I have an entire Persona Plush, Figure, and other merchandise collection as well if that interests you or anyone. Oh and I also now know why you complain about the shiny material used on some plushes since my KellyToy Super Sonic plush is starting to look a bit weathered in some places. But so as to not allow myself to talk and or write for as long as I usually do, I’ll simply end it with this. Thank you for the quick response and well a response in general. I normally don’t get responses to my comments from the creators because I tend to leave long comments and I assume they lack the time to read it or just don’t notice it. But now I’ll be certain to leave a comment when I go through my things later. And if I happen to find anything else of interest before then, I’ll be certain to leave a comment about that as well.

I saw a post on the nintendocafe tumblr where they asked fans if they would like a SMRPG remake for the switch, and if that does happen I would hope and pray they make a plush toy set for it. Maybe then I can finally get my hands on an official Geno plush.

I love this video, it's so informative and such a fascinating subject! I'm sort of a low-key collector, I don't really pursue the rare stuff due to it's pricing, though of course I dream of finding them for cheap at thrift stores. XD I've been very curious.....is there no way to contact the company and ask them about this? It just seems like an obvious solution that would have been done by now if possible.

Thank you! Unfortunately it’s probably impossible to contact anyone who worked on the line at this point. The plushes are 20+ years old now, so the people who worked on it probably forget or don’t have anything saved anymore. Maybe the companies would have archives but idk. Also there’s a language barrier as even if someone got in touch with someone, they’d have to know Japanese. Hopefully someone who worked on the line comes out someday and explains the situations, but we’ll see!
