A Look at Tom's Caricature Workshops!

This is brief a look at what happens at one of my workshops. Things have evolved over the years since 2017. My workshops are now 2 days not 3 (I found few people can give up three days for something like this... a 2 day weekend workshop is better received). Because of the shorter time I no longer do the inking and digital coloring demos, and stick to just teaching people to draw caricatures. That's what everyone is there for anyway. I have also increased the number of students to 14 max, but that's still a small group.
These workshops are very unique. It's rare you can find a two day class like this focused on caricature, and the in-person dynamic is much different than the online type classes. You get personal feedback from me, draw along with me, and get to see and interact with your fellow students. No one leaves these workshops thinking a cheaper online video course would have been better.

I bought his book and then was able to take his workshop. It was so much fun and the video is a good example of what you will learn. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks for sharing Tom!

Thanks Tom , That was truly an amazing insight.
Caricature artists can see what is unique about a person and exaggerate it. I think that is more challenging than ordinary portrait art.
I love this video. I feel like the training wheel metaphor is perfectly apt. I’m falling all the time, but every now and then I make a great caricature thanks to Tom’s instructions.

Tom, you gave me so much insight in drawing caricatures grace to your book and your phantastic workshop in Dublin. In fact, after this workshop, I noticed, that I could take a further step into my own live-drawing. I will have my first two gigs this weekend 😃 Glad that you produced this new video, hopefully it will attract much more participants.

I've just recently started getting into drawing and caricatures and also just ordered Tom's book. I really hope he plans to come back to Pittsburgh!

Just did one in Ireland back in September, which is pretty close! I'll be doing one somewhere in Europe in 2024, but probably not the UK.

Hi Tom, i know you do classroom set up. Have given it thought of a online, it wont beat being in the presence but for people not able to travel USA or Uk.

I do a workshop somewhere in Europe/UK every year. I have not done one in Sweden yet, but have done one in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland and the UK.

I've done several in the UK, mostly in the London area. I've doen several in Europe also, and most recently did one in Dublin back in September. I usually do one in Europe/UK every year.
