I was going to write a joke, but I didn’t want to ruin the excitement. This is looking better than expected!

If there was a sequel to Claptrap, there’s a whole smorgasbord of movies and TV shows Mad didn’t spoof!!! I hope that happens and they get spoofed!! I’m so glad I ordered my copy and can’t wait for it to arrive at my house!!!

I am really excited to finally get this in my hands! Thanks Tom (and Des)...as an artist myself, I really appreciate the hours of effort that went into this project!

As someone who read Mad Magazine since my dad got me issue #246, and a bit sad to see the magazine fade out these last few years, I am glad to see this project. The spirit of Mad is definitely here. Also, from the early bird PDF, and that one page gag I saw, there are at least 2 pro wrestling references there!

Been one of the original backers for this project, I didn’t fork over much but I’m still pretty damn proud of contributing to such a wonderful project and product! I was just as excited watching you open the box as you were opening it. The book looks awesome and the artwork is incredible and I'm sure the stories are as well. I'll be hoping I get mine by Christmas and I got one sent for my son in Mexico City which might take longer to go thru customs. He's excited to get his as well. You guys did good so a big high 5 to you both.

You might be thinking of the alternate movie poster Judd also had me do for that film. That got shared online and was part of a swag bag for a press event (or something like that). MAD certainly never did a spoof, and since all other publications that did MAD-ish style movie parodies are long defunct, I can't imagine where you might have seen one.

The finished product quality looks amazing but the shipping costs more than the book itself for where I’m at. I’ll have to re-read the caricature guide instead ( which wasn’t a good deal for you Iunderstand).

They will not be at Barnes & Noble, or any other brick and mortar store with the exception of possibly comic book shops. I had a traditional distributor for my "The Mad Art of Caricature" book but the dynamics of that model result in us getting too little $$ per copy of the book. Des and I decided we'd rather take longer to sell through our inventory but get more per book than to sell out faster but for less revenue. The book will be available through Amazon and direct from my website.

We wanted to keep the price as low as possible. Also, Tom had worked with this printer several times before, so we had confidence that the book would come out looking as we intended.

Our printer is Global Printing Sourcing & Development LTD based in San Rafeal, CA. However like most printers production is done overseas, usually China or South Korea. The costs of printing in the continental US is significantly higher even factoring in the cost of shipping many hundreds of pounds of books halfway around the world. Printing quality/end result is the same. The only benefit of paying so much more is getting the final product a few weeks earlier. Once the books do arrive, the higher price we'd have to charge would be forever.
