The first of three Reading Rambles took place on Saturday, May 25, 2024 on the Reading & Northern. A few changes to the Rambles this year…This will be the only one to operate out of Reading Outer Station to Jim Thorpe. Two other Rambles later this Summer will start at the new station under construction in Nesquahoning and travel north to Tunkannock and Pittston.
The second change was this was the first time the Ramble has operated with all freshly-painted cars, all in Cornell Red. The train looked absolutely fabulous and shows off the pride and work ethic of the company.
