This is the church of my Flint ancestors! I've found several generations in this village dating back to the 16th century. I hope to travel to England in the near future, and Shillington will be amongst the first places I hope to visit, and hopefully I will find their grave stones in this church yard. Thanks for the tour, it's lovely!

Glad you enjoyed the video Lisa. I’m very much into genealogy, so I’m pleased it’s helped you see where your ancestors were from. Shillington is a very nice village, and you can see the church up on its hill from some distance!

@@walktheworld651 I'm just chomping at the bit to fly to England! I've always wanted to go, but now that I've delved so deeply into my family tree, it makes it all the more important for me to go. Thank you.

If you go there on Palm Sunday you might be able to meet a Shillington donkey too!

I was looking forward to seeing inside the church. Was this filmed during lockdown?

It was filmed in the second lockdown, though I’ve since returned to the church, and it seems it’s not open every day. I’d like to see inside for myself! Thanks for watching the videos.

@@walktheworld651 I know that lockdown was terrible for church viewing. Had the same problem myself. It's nice that they are generally opening up again now.
