@TheSassy2005 lol yep she is here. The woman who plays her aunt is actually a famous actress (Olivia Hussey) who played Juliet in the movie Romeo & Juliet decades ago. That's why they made her this character who was so cynical about love... it was supposed to be funny since Romeo & Juliet was the ultimate love story.

I believe that's called humor by playing against stereotype. Same thing happened in "Airplane!" where Barbara Billingsley spoke jive, going completely against her 1950s-1960s stereotype as June Cleaver, the "Leave It To Beaver" mom.

Hearing them talk sounds like old Hollywood movies. Their characters should have hooked up, especially there was tension. She called him snappy and verbose, probably turning her on and denying it. And he didn’t back down from her insults. Obviously, she needed a man since Pru never married and Feeny a widow needed to find new love. It would have been another great relationship in the show to have considering their past love life or lack off was revealed all in the same episode. Plus, it makes Topanga closer to her Aunt, while Feeny becomes her guardian at the same time.

I thought that was Olivia! Loved her in Black Christmas, IT, and Romeo and Juliet.

Without no doubt Cory and Topanga are one of the best couples in tv history :)

I loved how someone in the audience screams "YAY" when Cory says "she said ur staying with me"

It’s not an actual audience it’s just sound efffect from the time the producers and directors hired an audience to do a prerecording as part of the show so they can use it as sound effects. They only use the live audience temporarily. After that they decided to cut off a live audience .

@@stephenpicart9266Yea they discussed this in Pod Meets World on their podcast recently about this episode actually and YES there was a live studio audience and a black screen that we don’t see behind Feeny’s house where Topanga was to surprise the audience which we hear in the crowds where she came in from the rain. So here there WAS a live studio audience for this episode. The sounds we hear are real.

Instead of acknowledging that or addressing the point, he goes on some arrogant tirade on the audacity she would have to question him based on his years in the public school system. She had every damn right to question him, Topangas her family not his. His years in the public school system didn't qualify him to give that kind of advice to Corey and Topanga and Prudence called him out on it.

I know many of you are referencing "Romeo and Juliet" which Olivia Hussey (Aunt Prudence) was in... And the only thing I can think of after watching this is "out of all the female virgins... God chose her to bear his son?" Olivia Hussey played the Virgin Mary in "Jesus of Nazareth."

Mr. Feeny kept an straight face while he and Prudence battle each other verbally I Love this series so many life long lessons if you value your life do not question Mr. George Feeny he knows everything He was very stern and strict in the first two seasons but as the show went on he was more understanding still Strict and stern but fair He even has the best Funny lines as well when he Did they were funny to hear and rewind just to hear them again LOL ALMO. Like when he told Amy and Alan that their children were the spawn of Satan or in Boston he stated that Eric had to catch the drink that encounter is so funny or when he saw Eric stuff the dummy in the locker and he ask Eric if he was an Dummy even the episode's end was funny when he found the dummy in his garden,. or the Feeny puppet was funny and cute as well, or when he said Wrong again Mr. Baboon Mr. Feeny? the legend continues and the chair spun around was completely on purpose,.

I still laugh at the girls in the audience screaming when Topanga shows up at the door, then it's the guys turn to go "OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!" when Shawn walks in spilling the beans about the Sparrow sisters.

this show shows how perfect life is. some episodes trail off but usually go back to life being the same. thats why i also like 8 simple rules because they had to deal with a loved one passing away.

I love them. I would love to be in a relationship like Cory and Topanga. I thought I had one, but the guy I spent a 5 year relationship with moved away,so that didn't work out like I planned

in my opinion, this show is the only show that always had the real lessons to learn. it tought me lots that i wouldn't even think of sometimes. and cory did have to go through lots of tough times. he had to move on sometimes as well, it's just his weren't as big as most

i would LOVE to have a teacher like feeny! he's so nice & smart & will help you with anything & everything. he always has the answer.

They still should have. She already was past that age of getting married and hasn’t and he hasn’t moved on since losing his wife long time ago. Plus, they do care for Topanga-a shared interest.

@mrmrskth The writers established that Topanga's parents were weird a long time ago :) Not to mention, there are parents who would allow their children to stay with relatives if they believed it was best for their child. I know of several in fact. So, maybe it is rare, but it does happen

@dustlandfairy She was born in Argentina, if that helps. She lived in England, the US, and a bunch of other places, so I imagine her accent has blended several different ones together.
