    I enjoy these lens looks, even though I haven’t got my DSLR out in years.

    As long as you even put softening filters on the lens for portrait work, I wouldn't care too much about the little disturbances around the edge of one lens element - let's assume it just adds to this lens's character ;) - nice pictures!

    Thanks, and yes, I've been using it since and it seems fine. Folk say seperation gets worse over time but if now stored properly, away from heat, I wonder if it will get worse - it's not like fungus, that grows. Time will tell but I may be gone before I notice much difference!

    One of the best 85mm ever built. Recently GL Optics make a full Pentax K cinema housing, they choose this, the 20mm f2.8 and the 135mm from the A line, the rest was K line, except the 24mm F2 that was a modern FA. Im very sorry for the balsam separation.

    The darn thing is about $1000 on eBay. Oh well, I will have to save up for it. It is highly rated everywhere.
