A little bit of history where I live. Cool stuff in Ga.

Hey gang, I am well on the road to recovery, and I thought I would share a video I made for patreon a few years ago. It's neat to see some of the things in our own backyard so to speak.

According to Google...someone rode a canoe through that covered bridge when it flooded in 1994 and placed that high water mark.

I was riding my motorcycle down the east coast, and i stayed in a town called Helen in Georgia. It was like a small German village, and I had a blast there. It would be cool to ride across the covered bridge next time I'm there.

That's pretty cool, Barry. Lots of history in Georgia, along with all the civil war stuff as well. I'll just bet in the next follow-up video you'll end up in Rind County for the Watermelon Festival 😊 Thanks for sharing !

I remember when our town looked similar, 50k people, great little place. Now we are 500k and it is still ok except the traffic and all the people. 😂

Yes, I too have a chest mic as my heater kicks in , or I walk away from the camera and the audio goes crazy. BUT make sure blue light is on mic as I have a number of videos with no audio as the mic timed out between takes.

Surprised to find where you are. My tech sales territory covers all of GA and I visit a company in the boom town of Woodbury often. Lived in Newnan a few years back. Nothing like cruising through the GA backroads! Thanks for giving me some cool sites to check out next time I'm in the area.

There was a murder at Starr’s Mill. Also we feared losing it back in 1994 along with the Red Oak Bridge. The covered bridge’s history is amazing in itself. I can’t remember the name of it but we did lose a different covered bridge here in Georgia in the floods of 1994. It was bad!! Great video!

Auchumpkee covered bridge. The river was 15 feet above flood stage after the storm Alberto came through. The whole town of Montezuma, Ga was under water, too!

Nice work Barry, taking your followers on a trip around your area was great. Towns with old houses, stores are always a show piece. You were quite steady on the walk across the dam !!! how wide was the side walk, I was impressed . I really liked the photos of the old car you should of had one of you and the wife lol you most likely have lots get well soon.

Hi from down under in Australia interesting video of where you live. Loving the work on the 69 sang. Especially since I am at Studebaker no Nut. Can’t take my eyes off the commander in the background. Can’t wait for the day that you start on that😊

There is a high pitch hissing in the background when you are using the new microphone. It's low, but noticeable.
