A Lesson with Benedicte Gele: Draw in the style of Rodin's drawings

After a visit to the Rodin museum in Paris and with lots of excitement and new impulse of creation, I've had the desire to try his style with my horse subject. The video here shows me doing 4 drawings in the style of Rodin with cut out paper, watercolor, graphite pencil…
The idea is not to copy the Rodin’s drawings, it’s just to keep the technique, the way he did the drawings and to add it to my style. I encourage you to try! It's a fun exercise.

Great video and terrific paintings. Very inspiring. I watched a documentary on Rodin last night and there was a section in his watercolors...it really struck a chord. I may have to give it a try.

His drawings are not very famous, quite unknown actually! That's a shame because they are so inspiring. I'm very happy if it allowed you to discover this part of Rodin's work!
