If Game Freak feels it's too ambitious to include Kanto in their first fully 3D rendition of Johto, a great compromise would be to give us an expanded Johto map with iconic places from the anime, like the Lake of Life, Orange Islands, and Alto Mare. I'd totally be fine with that.

Won't happen just because that isn't involving with a legendary pokemon most likely it will be Legends Celebi where the player traveled to the past like Celebi did and took us from the nds remakes of gold and silver but more like why it took us either other far distant from the past or future

@@user-fy1er2rd1k that’s a cool idea too but i don’t think we know enough abt legends games to know if ALL are going to be named after something legendary related maybe it could be better for advertising but i think being unique is a core part of legends arceus and future legends games id assume so i think it would make sense to not rlly have a pattern or formula for the names they pick and that could mean they could also do several legends games in one generation eventually by having 2 unique names for them i think this is possible legends arceus and legends z-a are very different names and legends z-a was not a name us fans were expecting they could surprise us again and give us a game called ultra legends for alola because it makes sense for the region just like arceus and z-a do for their region

If they remade gold/silver, i would love the idea of having ho-oh as the main game's story in johto. Then have Lugia in kanto as the post games main story with the birds. One big issue with the og games was how kanto felt somewhat empty and boring. Given a second story line to the post game would be awesome

Unfortunately I have no hope of the game being good with the quality of Gamefreaks games on the switch. Hopefully Nintendo next Gen console comes sooner rather than later as I can’t take playing Pokemon at 18-24 FPS anymore. Ideally the sequels would go back to the 2D sprites but I know this will never happen but one can dream. There is a KZread channel that made updated 2D/3D Pokémon concept in unreal engine 5 and it pains me that modern pokemon are not in that style. Edit: I went and found it. KZread channel called dott.

the voice actor who play Chikorita in Pokemon Jotho need to come to Rhode Island comic con this year.

If they were to make a legends story out of Johto, everyone would want to see the actual story of the legendary beasts. And maybe also more story about Unown.

My ideas on the pokemon legends kanto and johto both regions would consider being one region in the past celebi travels to the present time to find a trainer to help it when the timeline changed in the past meeting both professors ancestors of kanto and johto finding clues on what happened to the old tin toweer before it was burned down what the three legendary beasts look like before ho-oh revived them the history of the apricorn pokeballs new evolution's, variants, and convert pokemon that were long forgotten new forms for Ho-oh and lugia

The Burned Tower was canonically Lugia’s tower before it burned down.

If Pokémon Let's Go were remakes of Yellow, and then the new Johto games can be remakes of Crystal, Pokémon wins.

@@user-fy1er2rd1k I was expecting something like "Let's Go Togepi!" and "Let's Go Marill!", since those were the two primary Johto Pokemon we saw in the anime during the Indigo League. (Technically Tracy's Marill had the majority of its pre-Johto screentime in Orange Islands, but we're splitting hairs at this point.) Togepi may need to be buffed quite a bit for a "Let's Go" game, though, but I believe both Pikachu and Eevee were in the Kanto "Let's Go" games, so this isn't much of an issue, especially if the Togepi/Marill you had as a starter couldn't evolve.

It's absolutely disgusting how "retro" games are priced now. (And as I type that, a game from 2010 may very well be "retro" 14 years later.) FireRed/LeafGreen sold 12 million units in NA alone, to the point where you had a good decade where (I imagine) you could root through anyone's trash on garbage day and have a good chance of finding one of these games, with the worst you'd have to do is clean the contacts and change the save battery. These games are now sold - not _listed,_ but actually _moving used units_ - for $35-$50+ for *just the loose cartridge.* Again, a game that released at $35-$40, sold *12 million units in one region alone,* has loose carts being sold for as much, or more, than the game released at.

The problem is that the Johto Elite 4 replaced the Kanto one. Bruno is still on both and Lance is in the league in both. And Agatha is implied to have died.

The reason why Kanto and Johto regions are so similar and linked to one another is because, the original generation of Pokémon was probably going to exceed beyond 151 and include many of the Gen 2 Pokémon. But due to hardware limitations and tight schedules, Gen 1 only had 151. This is why evolution trees tie so well between Gen 1 and 2, why the maps compliment one another between these two Gen games, and even in the Pokémon anime, Kanto and Johto have the three main protagonists shown til its end! For me personally, the Johto region is simply an expansion of the Kanto region, both absolutely beautiful games and generations in the Pokémon universe!

A Kanto/Johto game would be the absolute perfect time to bring the cut/beta Pokemon into the game where they belong.

Can we get Johto, Kanto, and Hoenn in the same game please? That would be wild, throw Sinnoh in there too.

This is my dream, a kanto-Johto reboot of sorts. While I retroactively agree with a lot of the gen2 critique, it wasn't anythign that bothered me when I was 9 and first got to play the game, but now I would love a better, more updated version of Johto which expands on the mythology and lore it establishes

Pokémon Let's Go: Cleffa & Togepi

I’d love to see a Legends version of gen 1 and 2, where depending on what gender you choose, you play as either Oak or Agatha, as early rivals. For example it could be Oak chasing celebi after his run in with it as a child in the 4ever movie. And as he travels he records all the Pokémon he runs into

Emarald, Crystal and Platinum remakes are all I want now. Also I want them to remaster FRLF, HGSS B2W2 like they did with link's awakening on switch

Love the idea! I think they will def combine both of course. Probably it will have the Let’s Go style. Easier for them to just create the johto part and just merge it with the kanto part that its already done. I hope they add new pokemon, extended pokedex, battle frontier, etc.

Gen 2 traditionally contains both of these regions so id guess its a gen 2 game, maybe lets go.

I have little faith Gamefreak could pull this off. I wish Nintendo could buy them out and hire a larger studio to work on a project like this to give it a Zelda like polish.

After legends z-a, the next games should be gen 10 and then I believe gen 5 remakes would be the next gen to be remade before gen 2 even though johto gen 2 is turning 25 this year from 1999 to 2024. I believe after gen 5 remakes, there really shouldn’t be remakes unless they start doing let’s go games which we haven’t had a let’s go game since 2018. gen 1 only had two remakes to that gen which was let’s go which was a remake of yellow and fire red and leafgreen which were remakes of red and green. The legends games have potential to revisit region and finish some storylines or some things that they never did in the past. Including marketing and including new pokemon and regional forms. Legends games for pokemon regions like johto, unova, alola, galar, hoenn, and Kanto have potential for new lore, marketing, forms, and other things. Minus paldea since it’s new. But even paldea could also get a legends games in the future. Which is also why remakes are still a thing like marketing, new things to the remakes add before bdsp was a thing, and other reasons. With every new pokemon regions in new generations there come with it the potential of legends games in the future if they continue with more legends games then just legends arceus and legends z-a. If gamefreak finishes remakes then they can go on to do legends games. Even if they don’t make let’s go games which are another form of remakes as well. If there is no game shown this year by the time may this month and June is over then gen 5 remake is probably coming in gen 10 or after gen 10 like gen 11.

The Johto games better include the Sevii islands!

"Before any love is given to the original regions" Kanto is gamefreak/pokemon favourite by MILES and has received more love than the other regions combined.

Obviously you don’t read your comments on your own videos but in the video that you tell everyone to watch before watching this one, you call Pokémon Legends a remake, but it straight up isn’t a remake at all it’s just a story in an area that the games have been before, what part of it makes it a remake other then the area, BD-SP are remakes same with LGP & LGE, and so many of your comments point that out to you as well

I agree since Pokemon Legends series DOES NOT take place in the same era as the original version but in the past since Legends Arceus took place in the ancient past of Sinnoh which WAS called Hisui BEFORE it was renamed Sinnoh, so i believe ALL titles from this series WILL take place in the past too.

If you've played the violet or scarlet DLC even though it's not a faithful remake like a re release of a game but you still get sent to somewhere in gen 5s universe with unovas kitakami island and blueberry academy not sure why no Poketuber fans actually noticed enough to talk about it but

Kanto and Johto are the backbone of Pokemon. Originally the series was going to end after gen 2. That's why Hoenn is considered a re-up when it came out.

Kanto and johto would be awesome!! I'd buy 2 copies, one set to keep sealed and one set to play.

One of the main reason I'm all about remakes of regions we've already had remakes of before, is that this'll be the first time we get them with the Fairy-type. We've never had a Johto region where Fairy-types exists. And this raises a question. Will Whitney replace her Clefairy, or will she become a Fairy-type Gym Leader? I feel like she's remain a Normal-type leader as her Miltank is more iconic.

Interesting point. I think she could easily keep it though, think of Raihan's team in SwSh who is supposed to be a Dragon type trainer. Or she could Terastalize it to normal if they wanted to include battle gimmicks

I would love to see a Legends Kanto game... if you think about it, Kanto must have had a legendary Pokemon before Mewtwo, the game could always focus on that and how the creation of Mewtwo plays into that.

What if instead of all this, we got the classic Pokémon gen 1-3 mainline games on the NSO ? This nullifies the need of a Johto remake/Let's Go/Legends game and allows Game Freak to either continue chronological remakes and release Black and White 1/2 remakes and/or a brand new game, either Black and White 3 or a Legends Unova, possibly even both, or really surprise us by releasing a new Alola/Galar/Paldea Legends game, they could even make a Legends Kitakami if they really wanted to.

to be fare this means they could do something in Unova on the switch 2 with better graphics to acomadate for the city models and new animations and such like the originals.

I've been saying among my friends for a long time, that if they go back to Kanto or Johto I would prefer it all in one game. But I'd rather it be a main remake style game, not a legends. In my head it would serve as red/blue/yellow 2. The versions would be Pokemon Kanto and Pokemon Johto. in both you go to both locations, it would just change your starting point. I'd have Red and Silver be the respective champions you face at the end of their locations. Style wise, I'd love it to be like gen 9, but to actually work lol

I was so hoping for Johto games coming up, since it made the most sense, since they remake every generation in chronological/release order, logically speaking after Sinnoh comes Johto since after DPPl was HGSS, and then after those we'd get Unova remakes, but Game Freak threw us a curveball with Legends Z-A and now I have no clue what to expect lol, will we ever get faithful retellings of Johto and Unova's stories? Who's to say? I'd love a Legends game based in old Johto and Kanto.

It sounds good but if true then I would love if they gave you a choice of where you want to start like if you want to start your journey in gen2 then go to gen 1 and have it upscale for you or if you want to start in gen 1 it up to you so not everyone will have the same journey. Manto has been revisited so often in the lifetime of pokemon, and yes we have gotten a 3D version of it, but the let’s go game is not. Good representation of manto. The let’s go games were horrible. Please give us a gen 2 3D remake with a true Kanto experience

My opinion is they gonna skip Gen 2 go straight to Gen 5 as a collection with added new story to make it a 3rd version of a game since they will have 2 games in 1 black and white with black 2 and white 2 not many notice that black 2 and white 2 isn't remakes of gen 5 games but a continuing game its a 2 years after the event of Black and white they confirmed it themselves from Pokémon and gamefreak/Nintendo companies not just that this year of 2024 is quite quiet for Pokemon not releasing a game until next year will be the collection then for the following year after Legends ZA that most youtuber already spec that will be releasing during 2026 so it's best to sit down and wait

I hope we don't revisit kanto/johto again, been done too many times. Just play HG/SS for the definitive versions

Gen 2 remake is getting announced next month for this November. Then PLZA next year. Then Gen 10 in 2026. Then Gen 5 remake in 2027. I still want a Kanto remake that brings back the Sevii Islands.

I hope with the Johto remakes they tie in Sinnoh only cause of all the Johto Pokémon that got evolutions so it would be cool if we got all those evolutions within the main storyline instead of just a post game

The characters from these two regions are some of the best. The new games don’t hold up. When I was 12 years old I had Giovanni and Gary as my nemesis’s….my 12 year old son got Penny and Nemona…. 🤡. There’s almost no comparison from the original world building and character design. I can’t stand the new art style they went with, you get the androgynous vibes way too much for me personally. They think all Pokémon fans are multi color hair, socially awkward misfits apparently. Some of the “women” character models in SV are straight linebackers. 🤢

I still love this concept but they never make it so. This could be a great Legends games, but they should give more towns unlike the Legends Arceus because its so boring.

If its a legends game, ill be as upset as i was with kanto remakes being go games. No offense, but i love traditional pokemon styles. A legends game is cool in theory, but when you have been waiting as long as we have for Johto, dont change it up and take that from us. Or at least do a full remake and a legends version as well. 😅
