Father for years I have been going to confession, tried to fight sin and repent, and over the years although i feel God's grace but I feel powerless against temptation and far from true repentance, I still lust after women, have a inner anger, judge other people, gossip, slander. If one ceases for some time, another takes its place. I try to fight thoughts with Jesus prayer, going to Liturgy, confession, but even after all these years i feel have no control over the passions and I am not spiritually advancing AT ALL. It comes to the point when i get tired of being told to not stop fighting the good fight, and all advice seems CLICHEIC and standard priest talk. I am sorry but this is how I feel and hiding is worse than saying it. Please pray for ALL that are going through turmoil and lastly for me. IC XC NIKA

Take this with consideration and never without prayer but from what I read, maybe you should stop trying to focus so much on whether you can spot progress or not and instead focus on becoming more transparent to Christ. (Which taking by your comment and your own words “saying this is better than hiding it”, you’re experiencing a bit of that already.) Be honest with yourself and God and his mercy will be shown to you.

This person is saying the Jesus prayer for herself but also for your sins for the majority on unbelievers ( even believes in Jesus) don’t even know they sin. Go back to Jesus on the cross and read what Jesus Christ said on that cross: “ forgive them Father for they do not know what they do”. A person who truly loves Christ prays for others who are blind. Time to wake up ehh? Some people can “ see” and “ hear” the truth. Time for you to repent and pay back to the world & give back some love. Praying for others shows love, compassion and forgiveness. Are you ready ? Because no one knows when it will be their last day alive on this planet. Wake up and : Repent , repent , repent. You do not know what is awaiting us in the spirit world. Only a fool would think it all ends on this world. Some people are blessed to know. Time to pray 🙏

Amen, when we sin we loose our Joy. It feels like an emptiness, a mourning , but when we have God, we feel alive beyond this world, a sense of peace within us beyond human understanding. All Glory to God 🙏🏾❤️

Thank you so much, father! I really needed the words you spoke in this video. This helped me to weep over sins that I had been holding back. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!❤

I am going to be moving on to a new "chapter" of my life since I have graduated from college, and will be leaving my old job to get a new one. I will have to leave some friends behind. I suppose I was feeling a little bit of despair, because I might never see those friends again. But I realized that even if I never see them again in this life there is still the hope that that we will be together in the end. Of course, I can't pick and choose who I want Jesus to let into heaven. But I do hope that certain friends I made will come to Christ and I will be able to see them again. And I will keep my eyes on my own plate and live my life appropriately in anticipation of the world to come. Whatever may be I must keep my hope in Jesus and the new world He has prepared. I do not have to fear being separated from the people I care about. At least until we are all Judged.

This arrived at the right time.

if i am a christian and i have sinned knowing the consequences of sin how do i repent, god has given me so many chances, i dont feel i can in good faith go to him and ask for forgivness, each time he gives more more understanding of it and ast this point i dont know if i can fogiven

We can repent over and over again while we're still alive. After we die there is no repentance, we would need someone's strong and frequent prayers to God, Theotokos and all the saints to be given the chance to escape hell. Our nature is weak and we re continuously falling. It's important to quickly stand up each time we fall, so that we stand in repentance.

Father, how essential is the outward sign of tears? Is it possible that we might have a psychological issue of some kind which would make it hard for us to cry?

Hello Toby, the essential aspect is the inner desire to repent and rejection of sin. The physical shedding of tears can mislead someone if they are a particularly emotional person, they might mistake their tears for some great spiritual condition, whereas the truth of their heart may not match their tears. Equally, someone who does not literally shed physical tears may be filled with genuine remorse over their actions. In addition to this, many saints have received the gift of tears which is a special grace.

In summary: Only a culture cannot help us find the fullness of Christ's joy no matter how long it has existed while becoming richer all of the time. Because the only way to our heavenly father is through Jesus Christ like when repenting as he instructs us to do.

A sinner can minster to another sinner if they been in them sins and broke free. But them who never been there can Cause more sin than repentance? If the heart prick by God trust me he won't stop till he finished his work in you. If your faith in a Dr of this world your faith is canker silver. And God is not with them. Jeremiah ; run to your company stocks bonds see if they deliver you from what ales you your sickness? Why Goverment healthcare the devil's work. God's people are not to strengthen wretched arm's.

I'd love to make an intelligent comment on this sermon but it would involve divulging my sins outside confession, so I'll keep my mouth shut!
