It's people like this young man who deserve to be given national awards, not the thieves who are actually the cause of the country's problems.

I remember when I was travelling around Nigeria looking for a job. Benin was one of my ports of call. I passed that Auchi Benin road and I know that area where the kidnapping occurred. Indeed, the bus I was in narrowly missed a robbery as we saw people lying on the road with all their belongings on the road. Yet there was a military checkpoint less than 500m away. Shocking!

People are allowed to walk into Nigeria, hide in southern forests and kidnap the citizens for ransom. Yet, the Nigerian Government is indifferent to fighting this purely criminal enterprise because they feel the criminals involved are predominantly from a specific tribe. Thus tainting the good herders who have no hand in this crime!

Excellent documentary and story. The only solution to Nigeria current situation is for the country to be separated back into regions based on tribes and have leaders for each region, how it was done pre/post Independence eg Yoruba region , Hausa region, Igbo region and Fulani region and any other regions based on tribe and culture like it done here in the UK: Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland
