As long as you know how to solve a 4x4, using basic logic, you can solve a 50x50, it'll just take multiple days if done straight. Look up a solve of the 33x33, which is currently the largest order cube in the world.

This is absolutely mesmerizing, and even though the way the ai is done is inefficient, I enjoyed it simply for the sake that you actually taught the A.I. how to solve it like a human being. Bravo good sir. Your work is simultaneously hilariously jank and overall impressive at the same time.

I couldn't agree more with you on this, I'm so glad that as stated in the title an artificial intelligence was trained to solve a gigantic rubiks cube, despite how one could simply implement an algorithm that solves rubiks cubes, I'm glad he didn't click bait with the title and went the extra mile to create an ai!

Near 7|12 the way through I thought about the fact that if you scramble a large cube up way too much you almost can't get it back, and I thought about like, you need to take it apart and put back together, and then I remembered myself doing it when I was like 4 and then having like only central tiles remaining and whatever and I used it as a like a toy villain or whatever. It's actually a continuation of me looking at black texture in the beginning of the video and thinking about it and then being like well actually it is black inside. Anyways. Really interesting. Nostalgia. Being at gramma, watching the same episodes of a cartoon on the cartoon channel every day. It's a long story but kinda cool one.

Wow I just watched a 4 years old video 😅 One thing you could improve is continuously modify the angle so that all 6 faces are always visible. I was expecting a neural network to solve it anyways I enjoyed every bit! ❤
Use a neural network and see if the computer can learn the algorithms on its own!!

NN would create some weird ass algorithms, I guarantee it
@s.soderqvist3501

There will probably be a problem with that, since it's very hard to decide how far away from a solved cube the AI got on its turn. The other option of optimizing for speed is incredibly time consuming, with the first generation needing someone to solve the cube with ONLY RANDOM MOVES. A rubriks cube just needs way too much foresight for a neural network to find the algorithms on its own.
@Barteks2x

@@s.soderqvist3501 It might works if you first try to let it learn each small step of some algorithm, and once it learns that algorith, let it improve from there on it's own.

@ibycus314

I’d definitely like to see a neural network attack this. Maybe if you gave each ‘step’ x moves to then decide if it was getting closer. (In other words don’t try to evaluate if the cube is more or less solved until you’ve done 3 (or some other number of) moves)
