@@emilsmadvlogs5879 The problem was that the planes couldn't see each other. If the lasers they were using as input could detect other planes, they would have had a better chance. Still would have been hard, as avoiding something whose motion you can't predict is definitely harder than avoiding something that can't move at all.

Not gonna lie, I am amazed that the airplane eventually hit targets. I know a bit about machine learning and I have seen some amazing things. But watching this poor ai go from constant explosions to flying a whole air force was incredibly satisfying!

Just passed a year as of 2 days ago. Happy 1 year anniversary of code bullet not posting. Hopefully we wont have to have a 2 year anniversary. We miss you.

Well was he really ready for 2D to be honest? he felt like it but it only took him like 5 more failed attempts to finaly copy some code he found. But as a teacher of mine once said: "You dont need to know how to do everything, you just need to know where to finde instructions for stuff other people have already done and figure the rest out yourself" so i guess he is doing pretty fine.

Hey I know that you’ve been gone for a while and most certainly won’t see this but I just wanted to say that you’ve motivated me to start learning how to code again. I started about 6 months ago and gave it up after a few weeks because college (I’m not a CS or programming major) got in the way and it wasn’t much of a priority. @@KevinWho Truth be told, I rarely do it either. Definitely tried to "do it all" as a fresh-from-college dev, then overcorrected to "someone already wrote everything, just copy it". Now my line of work is so unusual that I would have a hard time finding quality examples of what I need to write anyway, so I only copy code from the internet if it's a well-known algorithm, or a hyper-specific solution to an oddity I've bumped up against for a particular framework/library.

The robots would likely scrap our calender in exhange for one that counts planck time since the start of the universe. It would be more usefull to an AI, and would be more accurate over long spans of time.

@@arrtes6479 That still has issues with relativity. - In programming, we already use those (but counting multiples of cesium atom oscitations instead, so the numbers are not too huge) -- BUT: It has the issues, that different clocks can still run at different speeds, so what they would _actually_ replace the calendar with is something that also includes the motion of the clock, because when you are moving, you lose some direction in time, to some direction in the spatial dimensions... - How they would do it, I have no idea, but they are smart bois. ^^

I had a fever last week, and it was so bad that i can only remember blurry bits of it. Prolly the worst fever i have had in years. But as the memories of last week flood back to me, I got faint pieces of my mind involving of this god damn video. Turns out, everything i had been watching during my fucking fever was Code bullet, according to witnesses i was totally zoned out, just existing while staring at a screen with code bullet tryna learn a plane AI to fly. @@LEGOJediMaster well, it could've been a simulation run, with google earth being the map. And then, coding in real physics, adding wind tests, and using different models, With each model, a new reaction to the physics. Could've been a 100 person coding project, or more
