I was thinking today of a woman I know with depression and one of her therapists said that she needed to keep a daily schedule, and one of the most important things was to get fully dressed and ready for the day and not to lounge around in PJs in bed or on the couch. To get dressed is to be ready for the day and to anticipate life. This brought tears to my eyes, Jennifer. What an honor you gave the homemaker today. God bless you and thank you.

💞 After my divorce I did "dress for drudgery" on the weekdays for awhile. I thought, "I have six children to care for, and what's the point of looking nice, anyway?" I had always dressed nicely in the home and it felt silly to worry about that after my home life fell apart. (This may have been a phase I needed to process through.) But after some time passed I thought, I owe it to myself to look presentable. I owe it to my kids since they have to look at me all day! Now I just have my four sons left at home (3 teens and an 11 year old) and I think it's as important as ever. I can't be a father figure, but I can be the best mother I can. As to the matter of nice clothes getting ruined, we can be practical. I don't wear white on spaghetti day! 😁🍝

You know you shouldn’t put those ideas in your sons heads . You should do it every once in a while but don’t do it to show how women should be dressed up all day every day it will put a strain in your kids marriage trust me I have experience with it . I grew up dressing up everyday of my life and when I got married I decided to not do my makeup because I didn’t like it or wear clothes you wear on a special occasion . My husband thinks I stoped taking care of myself but I didn’t I just want to be comfortable just like he is every day of his life .

Lol “dress for drudgery”! You are so right. The motto of the Breast Cancer fighters is “Look good, feel better!” It’s true. I have a chronic illness and my clothes and makeup (& skincare) are essential for feeling better. As I pass a mirror I often convince myself I am just fine and healthy. It gives me the energy I need and always gives back more than it takes. I’m subscribed to several other people you featured here.

"Meanwhile, your true style is being stifled, and your creative expression through dress is gone." I was definitely there for the last six years, and I felt the consequences of these words deeply. Just three weeks ago, after watching your channel for a period of time, I finally made the choice to always be presentable. I'm doing my hair and make up every day, and dressing in beautiful things from the capsule I created every day too. Since I decided to dress beyond athleisure and to feel beautiful every day, I have been able to move towards real joy. So many good fruits have come from this change. It seems this was the one thing that was missing all this time. Thank you.

My niece just stayed with me for the weekend and as she was leaving for home, she told me that her husband likes her to dress up when she travels, especially when she’s traveling alone. He told her that he thought people would respect her more if she happened to need help: wise husband. This is a beautiful video and a wonderful tribute to all those women who are choosing to dress presentable always and to embrace the beauty of motherhood, wifehood, and being a homemaker with grace. Thank you, Jennifer.

What a truly beautiful celebration of women! Made me emotional. I feel the women’s movement has wanted to kill this definition of what womanhood means. We don’t have to crucify the woman who enjoys lovingly taking care of the home and family to promote our sex in this world. I can’t thank you enough for what you are doing with your “voice” on social media. You are celebrating the beautiful God given qualities in women that set us apart from men. Wonderful job. Keep going. I know the path may not be smooth, but anything worth while is never easy.

Femininity has been so demonized in recent years. Women are expected to compete with men instead of being their loving companions.

Ah, you just light my days. I’ve just been to target and bought a long slim dress to wear in our summer now around the house. I’ve been trying to dress better because of your beautiful example. Thankyou for inspiring us. I always loved my grandmothers’ examples, of long skirts and blouses or pretty dresses around the home. My own mother got a bit too “modern” and wore singlet tanks, expensive ones at that, with cropped trousers like so many older women these days, but it just wasn’t pretty. I don’t think I’ve seen as pretty a video as you tying your aprons on in the beginning of this one. You really light up my idea of what I can be like at home. Respectable. Classy. On top of things. These are never what I thought of here in Australia where everyone loves wearing next to nothing. Xxx

This channel is truly a blessing. It's so refreshing to see traditional femininity celebrated instead shunned. Unfortunately I have a skin condition that prevents me from wearing makeup but I always put an effort into looking presentable, if a bit plain.

You have truly honored women and have shown us the beauty and “doability” and importance of a lovely presentation for a homemaker. I loved your comment about, “At least you will have gone out with a bang!” Showing all of those lovely homemakers who are so obviously joyful in their job as a homemaker was very heartwarming and honoring. God bless you!

Gosh, the ladies at the end of this video are all so wonderful, all those Women and Mothers with strictly capital W and M... I am still learning, but these short clips in the end gave me this sense of "we are all in this together" and how women and mothers hold this world together, make it beautiful and peaceful for our families and children. Yes, this is truly emotional and definitely brought tears into my eyes... Thanks a million, thanks to all of you beautiful ladies for what you are doing each and every day... ♥♥♥♥♥
