Fabelmans was a great movie to experience and to discuss. A lot to unpack
I love Steven Spielberg so much! He is so wise, humble, compassionate, bright, creative, fatherly, and a gift not only to cinema but to the world!

In the studio era, many directors were very versatile, jumping from one genre to another, film after film. Yes, Curtiz, Wyler, Walsh, Sturges... but Spielberg went beyond all of them in the way stories were told in movies.

Imo A.I., Minority Report, War of the Worlds, Catch Me If You Can and Munich are everything but turkeys.
Spielberg, Lucas, Scorsese, Cameron, Di Palma, and many many others have inspired my own storytelling over the decades. It's still hard for me to believe that I'm about to publish the third in my series, but simultaneously, I don't find it all that surprising. After 30+ years of acting, directing, writing, fight choreography, sound design, videos, voice-over, and PLENTY more... it's all been my contribution to whomever has decided to learn about my work. :) 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨

God bless you Mr. Spielberg. You're one of the all time greats
thanks for following your dreams Steven Spielberg, we love your movies
Alot of Spielberg movies shaped my world-view & I agree wholeheartedly with his sentiment regarding the Past . Films are like a time capsule or a snap shot of a bygone era. And if film is done well then it contains both light & shade. And you make up your own mind on things. And yes going to the movies is like a Communion of sorts where you let your guard down & realise that there are things that separate us but there are things that make us all the same. Love ,Hope & Community spring to mind. Thanks once again for the incredible legacy of Cinema that you have given us.
The 🦈 SHARK! With a unforgettable end roar lasting in our memories of a page of the dinosaurs 🦖 of our history. From time to time I still visit the film 🎞️ with family an gladness in appreciation for its package in its entirety as we watched even now I observe the difficult film 🎥 I certainly find more an more interesting story parts amazingly seeing new things. A masterpiece film ty Good Job
Spoken like The Legend he is!

Great interview
I absolutely agree that books and films are a snapshot of where humanity was at the time. How can we possibly learn from our mistakes or hope to improve, if the darkness of the past is constantly being erased or glossed over.
I love seeing Steven Spielberg being candid and dropping nuggets of wisdom. I would die for him to make one of my scripts into a movie. My movie script "Gods of the Forgotten" would be a perfect fit.
Can you imagine a world without Spielberg and his films...I know I would not be the person I am today.
Man I love Spielberg!

I think Steven has a Western in him. I'd love to see him do something like a Good Bad and the Ugly. Sergio Leone has a very similar dramatic style. I think Steven could totally do it justice.
So inspiring! Idk the first thing about making movie, but I respect the enthusiasm 😜
Steven Spielberg Is my favourite director by far literally nobody could make Jurassic park better than him
Much respect and admiration towards this master filmmaker. I’m so happy to hear he liked Indy 5. Plus him talking about not meddling with movies in order to fit with a political agenda is relieving to me. Absolutely loved The Fabelmans. That was his best film in a while. Definitely down to see him tackle a western as his next project! I think he’s going to be executive producing a posthumous project heavily based off of the late Stanley Kubrick’s “Napoleon” next.
Steven is a creative genius...
Oh my goodness!
I just read Pirate Latitudes, the pirate novel that Spielberg was once planning on adapting and directing. I loved it and hope he makes the movie soon.
Steven Spielberg has never done a western and I would love to see him do one.
Love that he shouted out Jordan peele. I also wish he mentioned Damien Chazelle honestly. Some of the best writing and filmmaking coming out right now
Very interesting interview, thank you! Glad to see that Spielberg is working to fight antisemitism while at the same time giving us the best movies!

This needs to happen: Angelina Jordan in Paris Steven Spielberg Angelina Jordan is a young singer who has amazed the world with her voice and style. She has performed in many countries and events, but one of her dreams was to sing in Paris, the city of love and art. That dream came true when she was invited by Steven Spielberg, the famous director, to be part of his new movie project. Spielberg was impressed by Angelina's talent and wanted her to sing the main theme song of his film, a romantic comedy set in Paris. Angelina was thrilled and accepted the offer, and soon she found herself in the beautiful French capital, recording the song and exploring the city with Spielberg. They had a great time together, and Angelina felt inspired by the culture and history of Paris. She also learned a lot from Spielberg, who shared his wisdom and experience with her. Angelina said that this was one of the best experiences of her life, and that she was grateful to Spielberg for giving her this opportunity.

I always liked his non union Mexican counterpart Senor Spielbergo.
People still should have a choice. Not including the special edition of ET on blu ray is just as bad. Lucas erased the original Star Wars and only offered the special edition. Should have done what Steve did with Close Encounters offered all 3 versions. or what Ridley did with 5 versions of Blade Runner.
@JeffLandsman

Well said. 100% agree. The fact that there is no official way to watch the original Star Wars trilogy in high quality (I own the terrible DVD bonus disc made from the laserdiscs that are not even anamorphic - just letterboxed) is a real shame. We should have those versions and the the revised editions.
