The Taliban is a Deobandi Islamist religious-political movement and military organization in Afghanistan. Currently one of two entities claiming to be the legitimate government of Afghanistan, alongside the internationally recognized Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Taliban maintains de facto control over the country. The Taliban's ideology has been described as combining an "innovative" form of Sharia Islamic law based on Deobandi fundamentalism and militant Islamism, combined with Pashtun social and cultural norms known as Pashtunwali, as most Taliban are Pashtun tribesmen. The group is internally funded by its activities in the illegal drug trade by producing and trafficking narcotics such as heroin, extortion, and kidnap and ransom. They also seized control of mining operations in the mid-2010s which were illegal under the previous government.
From 1996 to 2001, the Taliban held power over roughly three-quarters of Afghanistan and enforced a strict interpretation of Sharia or Islamic law. The Taliban emerged in 1994 as one of the prominent factions in the Afghan Civil War and largely consisted of students (Talib) from the Pashtun areas of eastern and southern Afghanistan who had been educated in traditional Islamic schools and fought during the Soviet-Afghan War..

Zero mention of Ahmad Shah Massoud fighting the Soviets and Taliban 1.0. Or the importance of Panjshir Valley that resisted the Soviets and the Taliban 1.0. No mention of Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh resisting the Taliban 2.0 either.
many holes in this narrative , Afghans enjoyed stability until the CIA became involved and backed rebel terrorist, this should be the true take away, and despite the current situation the CIA and western powers will continue disruptions here and many other locations around the world

However, I have never seen for example Germans writing comments irrelevant to the content below a post sent by a German (like I love Germany etc) or, I have never seen Russians do so or I have never seen Americans shouting loudly saying that one of us invented Windows. The Taliban and RSS/BJP ate no different with their regressive bigoted politics where there is no human rights, no free press only propaganda channels in support of the regime, injustice to minorities with the rise of corruption and fascism. Majority of the Indians have basically been brainwashed and radicalised by political leaders for their own benefits. India is gone backwards and the world is seeing this unfold as another Nazi style regime. All the Indian's shouting in social media are all paid trolls by the government to create false propaganda and praise the supreme leader and hide the truth of the worst condition of India since independence. But the truth is getting known to the world slowly..

The withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan was a serious mistake! The West should have stayed there with a certain number of soldiers. Much has been achieved in Afghanistan in the past 20 years. Schools, hospitals and universities were built. Millions of Afghans enjoyed freedoms for the first time in their lives. Armed resistance has already formed in many places in Afghanistan. The West must support these people with money, weapons, ammunition, logistics and training. Air strikes would also be possible. The great danger now is that Afghanistan will once again become a haven for all sorts of Islamist terrorist organizations. The West must now get as many local workers and other particularly threatened groups of people out of this country as possible. This also applies to their core families. The goal must be to overthrow the Taliban and protect innocent people. That does not mean that one country can or should solve these problems on its own. Joe Biden has done a lot of damage to himself and his country!
