Here is a first hand explanation on the history of The Belmont Tavern straight from Jimmy at the bar. Jimmy takes you back to the days of Prohibition in the 20's to now. Jimmy had his highlight of the night giving fifty successful businessmen including many who have lived in the history of this famous establishment. In 1967 Jimmy and Stretch's family formed a union which still stands to this day. People come from all over to have their original, famous and unable to be duplicated Stretch's Chicken Savoy. Other famous dishes include their Shrimp Beeps named after Benny Beeps, Cavatelli w/ Ricotta, and a new favorite thinly sliced Pork Francese and a few more. When you go to the bar don't order a Merlot or Cabernet too...Jimmy will tell you "Bergundy or White, Room or Ice?" If you have never been to The Belmont Tavern you need to go!
